I had to stop playing shield because there was way too fucking text. I don't play vidya for text. All these modern vidya with these cinematic cameras and camera angles while having long ass dialog and cutscenes? They're all reminding me I'm not in the game world, instead I'm playing a video game. When there's no fucking text jargon and I'm playing the game, that's when I can immerse myself into the game world. So in short, long ass dialogs and camera panning shit cuts any fucking immersion I have for immersion into the game world. The medium itself suffers for this, because you're no longer selling interactive video game, you're selling interactive movie (hideo kojima).
