FFXIV deserved to beat WoW for adding much needed QoL features and a fantastic story that were much needed in MMOs. unfortunately it's just not grabbing me as much since I'm stuck on a single character and everything being tied to them makes it feel like a drag. The biggest problem with Hien is that he literally doesn't do anything. He's not even a symbol for something worthwhile like Ryne, who's at least a glorified cheerleader. Mind you this is still better than Wuk Lamat, who keeps stealing the show because she's the writer's pet so she suddenly becomes more powerful than any other NPC we've ever seen except maybe HW Estinien (remember when he actually did cool things on his own instead of just being a support cuck? you know, the thing that made him popular to begin with?).
