Those are games I currently play through. I forgot how short single player PS2 titles are, majority can be done in 5 hours or even less but then you have JRPGs with at least 50+ hours just for the story.

Nah, this anon is fucking retarded. KH2 becoming more action focused was way better and KH1's combat was almost a struggle to go through until you get flying and 90% of the skills, magic and summons were useless anyways because lots of the bosses required platforming or had a gimmick that made most of the other tools useless. The tone was way better in KH2 and the levels way more improved since it focused on combat rather than the shitty platforming of the first game (Which still had the terrible bumper buttons camera control instead of the stick)

It was a complete change on the game design focus and it worked wonderfully.

Hopefully you're playing KH2FM so you can experience critical mode, which may actually be the peak of video gaming
Then again, I wouldn't recommend critical mode for a first playthrough, but just know that you haven't gotten the full experience until you do a critical mode run

I started the franchise from KH2 and had no issues understanding the overall story
