At least that's what it was in the original manga. The sequel manga fucked this up by having Sakura older and making it about a shitty "will they, won't they?" premise. With typical CLAMP time travel and dimensional jumping shit.

It did, I can't say that I ever watched Cardcaptor Sakura, but I remember it being advertised on Teletoon all the time. The dub was handled by the Oceans group.
