This piece of shit is on sale on Steam. I didn't get it when it came out because I was intimidated by fighting games, but I've since gotten into SF6 and had a great time. Is it still worth getting in 2025? Does it have an active playerbase?
Super killed the brand, no one born in the 90s care about it anymore and zoomers have better options, it's over

It's my favorite fighting game but the only ones I have more than 10 hours of playtime are Street Fighter 4 5 6, Tekken 7 and 8, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Soul Calibur 2 and 5 if that makes my opinion matter less. I imagine it has a good amount of lower ranked players still mashing nonsensically at lower ranked battles and you'll get curbstomped in player match. I don't see why people should stop playing this game it is one of the more accessible tag fighters since you can learn a decent combo route that works for most characters in the roster except for some with differing normals like Yamcha, Broly (both of them), Majin Buu, GT Goku to name a few.

>>721005379Yeah this was part of the reason why I didn't get it as well. Every character kind of looks like variations on the same theme? Super strong, super fast, flying, energy blasts. Ideally the game would have consisted of a roster of Dragon Ball and early Z, maybe going up to the Frieza saga
