Absolutely crippled by worst-in-genre enemy variety. You have no idea how good you have it with From games until you play a souls ripoff with horrible enemy variety
It was fun enough but unlike Lies of P I did not get the impression that the devs "got" Souls games and just needed more time/money to make something special.

Oh, and excellent environment design. I love Fitzroy's Gorge.

Very janky block vs dodge balancing
Core mechanic(world shift) getting less and less integrated in each new area
Enemies being too low in QA to feel different enough, meaning you feel like there is a genuine lack of enemy variety when its QA related

It's pretty good. But if you're faggot like me, you won't be able to make cute female characters. It's quite literally impossible.
Also some schools of magic outclass others in every conceivable way, so there's an issue with balance too.
But if I had known Yong Yea voiced a character in this game, I would've pirated it.

Good combat, exploration, world and level design. Build variety is decent but nothing outstanding - still, weapons and armours look really cool, and every build is meant to have a ranged option of sorts. The implementation of ranged combat and spells is the best in the genre, but there's not much variety when it comes to the magic itself.
Narrative, NPCs and quests are all rather subpar, and so is the lore. The major issue with the game is the jank. Hitboxes aren't very clean, some animations are wooden, the environmental collisions in the environment can be a bit overzealous and so on.
Bosses are mostly underwhelming, with a few good standouts. None of them are really that challenging though - unironically, the first is the most difficult one.
If you're willing to look past that, it's a good experience... Although the devs have bastardizes the original vision quite a bit with all the updates. A lot of the friction, challenge and tension of the first release have been lost. There are fewer enemies and they don't aggro as much... Falling from ledges has been made almost impossible and retard-proof. And various balance adjustments have made the experience easier.
The original had very brutal and unforgiving level design, and that was its strongest aspect by far.
