>Wireless gaming mice have shorter battery lives than normal wireless mice because they consume more power due to features like high polling rates, high DPI, and constant LED lighting
Convince me on why I need ANY of this for 1 month of battery life when a regular HP mouse is not only more comfortable but will run on 1 duracell for 13 months+

idk maybe because you can load it any time you want and you don't need to buy more batteries because its rechargeable
>>
>>721093215
Mine's rechargeable and I just plug it in when I go to bed.
>>
>>721093215
I like wires, if I could double the wires in my house for free and for no reason, I would.
>>
>>721093215
i've been using the same shitty wired office mouse for years now and it works like a charm. I'm sure if I got a better mouse i'd probably aim better in csgo or something but the only way to find out is to buy one which i wont do

Why the fuck are you trying to find validation on 4chan?

Fuck off. Then keep fucking off.

>high DPI, and constant LED lighting
you can use lower dpi and turn lighting off. polling rate seems like you should have at least 500 but 1k is probably the best balance.

non-gaming mice will usually have more sensor problems. it depends on what you play though. if you just play a slower mmo or something then it won't matter as much but you'll notice in faster fps games.

my G pro wireless has 60+ hours of battery life, I don't know how hardcore you are but I generally dont have longer sessions than that

How poor are you?

anyways
I'm swapping my g502 hero out for the wireless variant, is there anything to look out for so I don't get jewed by logikek?

I have a mechanical wired keyboard with a memory senpai wrist pad and a coiled cabble (because keyboard doesn't move at all), and a simple g305 wireless mouse (lack of wire on the mouse makes a huge difference in game comfort). Mouse takes rechargeable batteries but they last for the whole week usually, and i can charge one while the other is in the mouse.
>>
>>721094693
very :)
>>
>>721094854
bravo, that's the cringiest keyboard I've ever seen
>>
>>721094764
I had the g502 light speed wireless for awhile. Excellent mouse. However, I went to jail/rehab and when I got out the left/right click didn't work. Everything still connected, other buttons worked, just not those two. No idea why. I think moisture in my storage locker. Great mouse tho.

Also modern gaming mice don't really have extraneous LEDs anymore. Even Razer got rid of theirs. At this point they're trying to shave off every last gram anywhere they can find it.

>shitty skates
>shitty switches/wheel that will fail after 2 years
>shitty rubber parts that start to collect dirt and wear out after 1 year
>no onboard memory so have to tweak everything whenever i'm on another pc
>probably only comes with the dongle and no wire--most gaming mice allow you to play while charging
sorry anon but i've seen the other side and it's just so much brighter
>>
>>721093215
Wireless mice are for retards.
>>
What's the closest thing to a deathadder that isn't by razer? It's my favorite mouse shape and everything feels nice but they always die out after a year or two.
>>
>>721097249
optical mice are for turboretards
>>
>>721093215
i use one of those retarded logitech G pro superlight ones and i only have to charge it every 4 ish days. wireless charging's battery life is overexaggerated (unless you get the some temu aliexpress shit)
>>
I don't get the point of wireless mice.
The wire has never been a problem to me whatsoever. It's on my desk, not even a meter away from my PC, why the fuck would I need to eliminate the wire? I ain't going out the room with it.
>>
>>721099113
Things without wires are easier to move.
>>
>>721099275
I used a wireless mouse and it does not feel any different.
>>
>>721099113
Cable drag
Also wireless mice can become wired anyway
>>

>>
>>721099384
Well it's a bit like having "too high" refresh rate monitor. If you can't make use of it then it doesn't do much of anything.
>>
>>721099474
>If you can't make use of it
When is it supposed to be useful?
It feels like a solution to a problem that didn't exist.
Wireless mice, I mean, not a high refresh rate display.
>>
>>721099445
Why the fuck is it supposed to feel any different
It's a mouse that doesn't deal with a wire and for a thing that's constantly moving that's just better
>>
>>721099563
I never felt cable drag with a wired mouse, and a mouse doesn't feel any different wireless. Last time I had a wireless mouse I always used it wired anyway; wondering what the point of it was.
>>
>>721099552
Considering you're unable to even feel the cable drag - never.
>>
>vertical
>flagship sensor
What's your excuse
>>
>>721099685
If you can't feel any difference that means wireless is better doesn't it?
You can't wear out a cable when you don't have one
>>
>>721099918
I have never in my life worn out a mouse cable.
but I have worn out a lithium ion battery before.
wireless mice feel like deliberate planned obsolesence - the battery life deteriorates.

Show me an office mouse with four side-buttons (in rows, like pic related--not spread all over) and I'll never buy a gaming mouse again.
>>
>>721100051
Worst case scenario for a wireless mouse is to become wired
I'm also doubting you're even doing anything with your mouse to begin with if you don't know what cable drag even is and you've never worn a cable out
>>
That hp shitter you posted has most probably a 300ms input lag, which makes basically trying to play any fast paced game impossible.
Still, if you want the battery to always be charged you could buy a mouse with a dock like the zowie wireless mice.
>>
>>721100298
Just plug it in to charge overnight once a week using your ever growing stock of usb c cables
>>
>>721093525
What about the mouse?
>>
>>721100294
I know what cable drag is, but I don't experience it as there's plenty of slack level with my mouse. You don't experience cable drag if you keep the cable slack level or above the high of the mouse.

>When is it supposed to be useful?
I think it's mainly noticeable if you're playing on a lower sens with a big mousepad you're whipping your mouse around on like most people who play competitive shooters. If you use a high sensitivity then it's likely not an issue for you. It's not a game changer or anything but, all else being equal, I'd choose wireless over wired.

how violent of an arm whip are we talking here?
>>
>>721100427
I plug my mice like once every couple months, they somehow don't run out of battery that regularly like OP might suggest.
>>
>>721093215
I've had sora v2 for 1-2 years now. I have to charge it every 2 night (so I put a cable on it that's on my table constantly, before going sleep), battery life is about 30 hours or 40 I don't remember. It's a 40g mouse that weights less than most of the wired mice I've gamed past 2 decades with. It's slightly small, the other one on rtings claw list might be slightly bigger idk, but basically it's very good mouse for claw grip and the low weight makes it perfect mouse even if it's ever so slightly small than I wish it was, because it's rear hump is good enough that it's miles ahead over any mouse I've ever owned, viper ultimate or basilisk v3 has nothing on this. You will not believe what 40g is until you try it, it's literally nothing, there's no resistance. Your wrist will fucking thank you.

You can downclock a mouse to the subhuman 100hz poll rate and 600 dpi your cheap piece of garbage has if you're that negligent and worried about saving a single quarter on your energy bill
>>
>>721093215
I just use second hand wired mice
Mine has a ps2 to usb adapter
You need more?
>>
>>721093215
My Logitech LX8 started having issues with double clicking when I didn't want it to. A "new" one would've cost $90 and there weren't many other options for a mouse with M4 and M5 on opposite sides of the mouse, so I settled for a Razer Viper (don't remember the exact version). It's much lighter and smaller, but still fits well enough. The adjustable DPI is nice, but holy shit is the battery life awful. Only lasts about 2-3 days before needing charging. I only used it wireless for a few months before just leaving it plugged in permanently at this point. One of the left side buttons has started occasionally doing double inputs.
>>
>>721101341
Btw if anyone buys this mouse, dont buy the 8k dongle because the ultra reaponsive "competitive" mode becomes disabled if you use higher than 1k polling. Not sure how its with the other claw mouse on rting list, but at least on that the 8k dongle comes included so you don't pay extra. Still this is single best pc related purchase ive done long time, works better than the buggy asus 7900xtx

You don't
Because you're a poorfag with a 60hz monitor

Before I got mine I mailed them asking when they're restocking
A day later they restocked
Too bad it was the black one and I was tired of waiting so I got it
A day later I seethed seeing them restock the white one too
