I got a brand new series X for $300 or something like that. Have literally zero issues with it as a console. Controller is great, being able to play older games is great, Game Pass is basically the new age of Blockbuster rentals without scratched disks. I like my Series X what can I say. Not perfect and I dont know if I'll buy the next Xbox, but the Series X is good. Most third party titles are there, gamepass is really good value if you do some jewery like buying Brazilian codes, emulating is really easy and the 360 BC catalogue while a bit small for my taste has some of my favorites. and I am an idort, have a switch 2, a ps5 I bought recently as a death stranding 2 machine, a decent pc and even a steam deck.
