I think I realized my issue with the game's map. There's a series of areas with generally one gimmick if it's not s park, and they're all separated from the other areas, so you have no means of chaining shit together between them, short of flying bullshittery. Just give me a large fucking area not section off neatly within a city block

Updated my drivers yesterday, used Nvidia control panel to limit it to 90fps and turned of hardware accel, ran fine yesterday now it crashes every 20 minutes or so

I do enjoy the game and the I think they did a great job with the animation with the flick stick controls but my problems is that this game is so hollow. The map is cool and all but it feels lacking in content. I think they focus on the verticality of the map more than having a map with insane, cool, and fun skateparks, urban environments, and location like they had in the previous three games. Where the game of S.K.A.T.E, Hall of Meat, Death Races, and create a parks. Also, playing on vert is annoying. It feels like your speeds goes out the window the second you hit a vert ramp. Pumping feels like it does nothing like the past game where it the pumping in that game gains you speed to do tricks. Like I feel the store was made first before the game was made. I know it's a live service game and early access but, I do think they can add more from the beginning so not only veterans of the franchise stick around but also new gamers trying it out for the first time. Hopefully, they can add more but, what it is right now, it is lacking for a Skate game.

You can keep the taunt going if you press and hold the taunt menu button, even if you trigger a line by falling spectacularly the taunt menu will remain open, just hidden behind the line ui, and will resule when you get back on your feet. I got the flapping arms taunt and I now rp as a bird, flapping as I circle players and throwing myself from great height to take flight. The taunt continues even as I ragdoll on the ground.

The core gameplay mechanics are fine, but only because it is more or less the same controls and system as the first three Skate games. But if you go back and play those, you'll see how this is lacking in every other way. Including in level design, which is actually half the equation for the gameplay to be good. If the environment sucks to skate in, it doesn't much matter if the skating controls well. The whole map is clearly intended to be treated like a park editor, which is boring to me and indicates that the developers just wanted players to make their own "fun" instead of putting in the work to really design and think about interesting spots and lines.
