Remaster adds cut content as well as improving UI and graphics.

It can be tedious because you are required to collect certain amount of Dark Souls™ to progress, it's quite easy otherwise.
If you don't like getting stuck because you missed one hidden path it can be rough.
It has some metrioidvania qualities so you will have to revisit areas multiple times with your new abilities.
I still highly recommend playing it because of the atmosphere.
