The moment the fight began she just shotgunned my whole party down to 100 HP (Nightmare) and only Earth Shield saved my ass. I have no idea how this is supposed to work without Shield+Clock. The more i play the more i think they balanced Nightmare around these skills. Josette is a cool character, though. Overall just impressed with the remake so far.

Keep attacking the grass in the overworld, do it 500 times you get a quartz that gives 4 ornament points in Wind, give it to Schera to unlock Aerial Storm earlier than you should be able to. Go to the hidden cave in Rolent or Bose and those dozens of enemies become loot pinatas.

The few new quests and writing in them are traces of Daybreak and its terrible writing. Use as much debuffs as you can and make sure your members are spread out so Josette's Stampede doesn't destroy you. I only had to revive 2 times first time I did it and I was just messing around.Can't comment on nightmare though.

I recommend getting earth crest on Estelle to give everyone an extra 1k hp shield and chaos brand on Joshua because all of them are vulnerable to confusion even Josette in her overdrive.Don't forget to give everyone accessories too as they all have stats now and to cook every dish you can since they give stats the first time and it adds up.

>>721326404It took me a few goes in the demo, then I replayed the fight on launch and clowned on it. There's a lot to abuse once you figure out which options are stronger. Earth shield is bonkers good, it's a full team shield for more than your entire HP pool with no duration limit where the only issue is you need to stack up to shield everyone. You don't want to be stacked up because the boss deals AoE damage in a cone but because the 3D environment gives you lots of wiggle room you can fudge your way into a position where your team is on 3 corners of the boss and you can still shield everyone. After you have shield up you can ClockUp for speed then abuse AoE Delay with Flicker and Sylph whip to stop the adds from ever taking a turn, just get your team into a position where the adds are stacked up and you're surrounding the adds on 3 corners. Finally you want to keep some CP for an S-Break or some form of debuff removal to deal with the boss as it goes into hyper modeThe same approach has mogged everything I've fought in the game so far with the one exception of that fucking Fish which spams AoE Seal/Mute where I needed to rejig quartz and gear for some debuff immunity.
