The faggot shilling them talks about accuracy and input lag, neither of which are big enough issues for the vast majority of gamers.
It IS, however, a big issue for speedrunners (a strong contingent of which are trannies). He likes to call people that mock him trannies, then post Twitter screencaps from a literal tranny.
>>
>>721293729
Original intention of them was to emulate old PCs, as it's easier to develop a cycle accurate mister core over a standalone emulator. This also applies to consoles, but all the popular ones already have PC emulators that are autisically developed and tuned that the benefits are minuscule outside of a few oddball games.
>>
>>721293754
Can it do PS2? I guess MISTer can't do that. Maybe PIs can't either.
I really want up through PS2 if possible though.

This is just retarded.
PSX was the internal codename.
Post-release all normies just called it the PlayStation.
Post-PS2 all normies just called it the PS1.
I can find a shitton of old forum posts and magazine clips where the Nintendo GameCube is just the Dolphin - that doesn't change post-launch reality.
If we were back in the minimal-micromanagement brand era, we would also be in the era where calling you a gay faggot was common sense and publically acceptable.

That's because OP used to spam threads bitching about supposed lag in Bloodborne and shitting on RPCSX in past years, without ever telling anyone his setup when asked in those threads. No wonder he's now an FPGA simp.
>>
>>721290873
The MiSTer FPGA’s big advantage is accuracy and responsiveness. It behaves almost exactly like the original hardware, with minimal lag and cycle-perfect timing, which software emulation often struggles to achieve.

MiSTer uses an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) to recreate the original console’s logic circuits directly, rather than simulating them with software.

This means timing, quirks, and behaviors (including "bugs" in the original hardware) are preserved far more faithfully than in most software emulators.

Software emulators must approximate hardware behavior, which can sometimes lead to inaccuracies.
>>
>>721295531
also he spams constant countless retroarch threads
>>
Because FPGA cores run in real time at the hardware level, MiSTer has extremely low input lag — often indistinguishable from the original console.

Software emulators introduce additional layers (OS scheduling, API overhead, rendering pipelines) that can add noticeable latency.
>>
>>721290873

>>
FPGA cores can replicate hardware at the cycle level, so games run exactly as intended, with correct timing for things like scrolling, sprite limits, or sound channels.

Software emulators may "skip" accuracy in favor of performance, which can cause subtle (or not-so-subtle) differences.
>>
Original hardware quirks like raster effects, scanline tricks, or audio timing are reproduced correctly.

Software emulators sometimes struggle with these, leading to glitches in games that relied on hardware tricks.

>shit nobody but ultra autists care about
>>
Many games depended on “weird” behaviors of original chips (timing glitches, memory mirroring, bus conflicts).

FPGA cores can model these quirks naturally, whereas software emulators often have to hack in per-game fixes
>>
>>721290873
I wonder how much mods get paid to let these crappy bot shill threads be posted 24/7 despite everything single anon (every single one, we, you, me, seethe cope and dilate because you are getting put in "we") hating this tranny tinker toy that doesn't have the charm of original hardware nor the accessibility, customization, options and upgrades emulation has.
>>
MiSTer supports a wide range of consoles, arcade boards, and computers — all in one box.

Instead of setting up 10+ different emulators with different configs, you just load the right core.
>>
Unlike original hardware, FPGAs don’t suffer from aging capacitors, fragile cartridges slots, or rare chips failing.

They also avoid the “moving target” problem of software emulators that change with every OS update.
>>
MiSTer FPGA offers authenticity, low latency, and flexibility with real hardware outputs that software emulators usually can’t fully match. On the other hand, software emulators can be more convenient (save states, mods, shaders, higher resolutions, etc.), so each has its place.
>>
>>721296385
>>721296458
Thanks, can you tell me what else a MiSTer™ can do?
>>
>>721296536
Absolutely! The MiSTer FPGA isn’t just for console emulation — it’s a very versatile platform. Here’s a rundown of what else it can do beyond just running NES or SNES games:
Supports consoles: NES, SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive, TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, Neo Geo, Game Boy, GBA, Atari systems, and more.

Supports computers: Amiga, Commodore 64, MSX, Apple II, Atari ST, Sharp X68000, DOS PCs (up to 486-class performance in progress).

Supports arcade boards: Dozens of original arcade PCBs (CPS-1, CPS-2, Irem, Konami, Sega, Taito, etc.) recreated at the hardware level.
>>
Based on recent data:

QMTech and Taki clones are showing up and being discussed as cheaper MiSTer options.
Reddit
+1

Mister Addons has offered kits and bundles but many are “sold out” and the price tends to be ~$400-450 USD for full kit (board + I/O + case etc.).
MiSTer Addons
+1

There are “generic” metal case + IO + hub bundles on Amazon, Mercado Livre, Shopee, AliExpress — possibly cheaper depending on local stock/shipping.

Reddit threads suggest used full setups going for ~$300-400 USD but new clones may undercut that.

>misterfag suddenly goes from EMULATION BAD to EMULATION GOOD AS LONG IT'S ON MY PRODUCT (BUY IT BTW)
>>
The FPGA board (like DE10-Nano) is often the most expensive part. Clones from QMTech, Taki, etc., come cheaper once supply is good.
Reddit
+1

Add-ons like SDRAM module, I/O board (for analog output), USB hub, case, power supply really add up.

Import taxes, shipping cost, customs — often make up 20-60%+ of the price to Brazil, depending on courier and whether documentation is correct.

“Used” or “open box” may save money but check condition, version, completeness.

RetroArch is very different from MiSTer FPGA — instead of recreating hardware, it’s a software emulator frontend that brings many emulation “cores” together under one roof. Its advantages are mostly about features, flexibility, and convenience.

RetroArch is all about convenience, enhancements, and flexibility — one launcher for all your emulators, with modern perks like save states, rewind, achievements, online play, and graphical upgrades.
>>
RetroArch = Convenience, Features, Flexibility

Play on anything, free, tons of systems (even modern), shaders, save states, achievements, netplay.

Great if you want enhancements or don’t care about “absolute authenticity.”

MiSTer FPGA = Authenticity, Accuracy, Preservation

Near-perfect hardware recreation, lowest possible lag, CRT support, original controller use.

Great if you want the real console feel and preservation.
>>
So the choice depends on your goal:

If you want easy access, modern enhancements, and maximum variety RetroArch.

If you want faithful hardware experience with CRTs/original quirks MiSTer FPGA.

That’s a very personal and uncertain kind of question — and there’s no way for me (or anyone else) to predict with certainty whether you’ll get married. What I can do is talk through the factors that usually make the difference:

Personal choice: Some people actively want marriage, others don’t. Knowing what you want matters most.

Relationships: Building strong, healthy partnerships increases the chances of marriage if that’s a shared goal.

Timing & circumstances: Careers, location, finances, family, and culture can all influence when (or if) marriage happens.

Openness: People who keep meeting new people, trying new activities, or joining communities tend to increase their chances of finding a compatible partner.

In practice, if all your're doing is running commercial games, the actual difference will be 16 ms of input delay and some delay of audio depending on how strong is your machine.
My 2200g can go as low as 30ms on retroarch before shitting itself.
Other than that, games will run the same shit, unless it's some obscure sega saturn title, or a specific ship game on the N64.
