Why did GMS dispose of Phantom the way she did. Starving of silk and slowly unraveling in the exhaust organ. Lace seems fresh and child like enough to only be from post awakening. But that means she had to have made this prototype child that Lace did see at least once. This goes against the entire silk heart dialogue we get from Lace>Better a child spun mad... than none...>Better a child spun frail... than none...>Better a child spun pure... than them...And yet she threw away her first draft of the child. Finished the game, 96% completion at like 40 hours. It's good, gameplay's much improved from Hollow Knight. Overstayed its welcome a bit by the end but that's also true of Hollow Knight. Biggest downgrade from the first game is the reward system in general. Mark shards and spool halves have less value compared to their Hollow Knight counterparts, shell shards suck as a reward for exploration and platforming challenges, the crest and tool system is way less interesting than charms and slots, and some rewards being locked behind generic fetch quests is really lame.
