The thing worse than the drought was that nobody really took advantage of the Wii U like thet could have due to sales and poor product positioning from launch. I've been playing games since the SNES and SEGA Genesis, so there are no "nostalgia goggles" for me. Also I loved the Wii, preferred it to GameCube and still do despite that somehow being a problem to say as my opinion for almost 20 years now. Also, of course Iwata era wasn't perfect and it's be disingenuous of me to act like it was, but even taking into consideration the issues and problems of the era, I really enjoyed it that era of Nintendo and look fondly on it as a whole.
