My hate for Endwalker stems not from being a Garleaboo but from how rushed and squandered the expansion is in general. Finding Ancient ruins and then immediately going to the past was horrible. Let that shit marinate, I wanna see more ruins and try to interpret what its original purpose was. The Final Days felt like the final hour with how rushed it was. We should've been trotting around the globe to fight on different fronts. There was no buildup, unlike Ilberd's falseflag attack or the Warriors of Darkness. Endwalker just makes me frustrated.

I wish FFXIV pulled me in more than wow does. I feel deeply that the story and design is superior to wow, but it lacks replayability which is critical in MMOs. Once you complete an expansion there's zero reason to return or redo it. If I want to make a second character I'm stuck on a linear hallway redoing everything in order. They need to introduce a more loose, non chronological expansion that you can do whenever you want without completing the 5 other expansions, and allow alts to do do expansions at any point. FFXIV needs chromie time for alts. And make a PvP based expansion where players can choose 2 factions and the player base can split organically from there. I have no desire for an expansion that's just a story. I want a game to explore.
