Obviously people have been saying "the golden age of gaming is over" like every five years since the medium came into being but games like BF6 have me actually feeling it.The absolutely transparent pandering to washed out Millenials who don't know what they want besides a modern military shooter like they used to play is what really does it for me. Reminds me of Gen Xers bringing about trashy revivals for 1980s franchises over and over again. The times where games were a new thing and innovation and iteration were constant are truly over and now we're at the point where we're desperately rehashing a genre that was already not very adventurous when it came out because that's what people claim to want most.

It makes movement unpredictable and catches people off guard unless they can flick well and most people can't.
