And let's not ignore that most third parties never even bothered with key cards to begin with. And that the ones that did could and are likely giving up on key cards as well. My impression is that the biggest appeal of Switch 2 right now is as an upgrade to Switch 1. In other words, if you're tired of that piece of shit full of drift, with a scratched plastic screen, that can't keep up with gaming performance, buy Switch 2 and you'll get a device that's considerably superior in every way. It's like going from some budget shit to something premium.So the biggest reason to get a Switch 2 now is not for the new games, but as an upgrade to the Switch 1.The problem: compatibility with the Switch 1 is not really being worked on. If every game in your library immediately jumped to better resolution, better frame rate, lower input lag, etc., like when you upgrade your PC, then the Switch 2 would be an excellent deal. But that's not what happens. Some games actually look worse on Switch 2 because it maintains 720p resolution in handheld mode, but on a 1080p screen, which makes everything look blurry. Add to that the atrocious response time of the screen, which is poor even by 2005 standards, and you'll experience a downgrade in certain games, right now.

I consider myself a hardcore Nintendie, and I don't see why I should buy a new console to play a whopping 2 games which last like 10 hours each at best.They completely failed the point of exclusives. I'm not buying a new console to play MP4 in better form, I already can play it on my Switch.They just didn't have the library to pull a new launch off. And the prices on new games certainly isn't helping. The upgrades could have made the pill sweeter, but when you assign them a price, instead of offering them as free patches to pad your early access console launch, everything is soured even more.They could salvage everything with Zelda's 40th next year with a SE and a new game, aswell as making more "harcore" games, such as a new/remake Kid Icarus Uprising, Astral Chain 2 or Xenoblade 4, but they are really starting to feel like they are heading into WiiU waters instead, desperately trying to get casuals on board who don't care, because they already have a switch and an iphone
