I’m still playing. Amphoreus should have ended with or soon after Phainon’s crash out though, the following chapter seemed so boring and lame in comparison.

For me, a realization came to me during the Fate event. I logged in to do my dailies and quickly do the event, and when i saw that i would have to actually play the game for a few hours to claim all the event rewards i started to dread the event for actually having content to do. That's when i realized that i was not playing the game to enjoy it, but only to collect rewards. At that point thankfully i managed to break my habit of logging in to do dailies and now I'm finally free.

The story has its cool moments every now and then, but there is too much of a slog and the usual white text on black screens in between those.

Kafka and TB were sidelined since they're clearly climax of the story (before hoyo extends it yet again) material so I got bored and dropped the game.

My reasoning is less about quitting and more about what I didn't like. I feel like the trailblazing journey should've been a bit longer before we get to Amphoreus. Excluding the Herta Space Station and the Xianzhou Luofu, we've only been to 3 planets. I wanted to know what Argenti and/Sparkle's home planets are like, we've yet to meet anyone from the now scattered Annihilation Gang, Dan Heng getting a new form when it hasn't been that long since he got his first one, and, and this is just my opinion, the true Herta has been revealed too early. The events of Amphoreus to me feels like something that could've happened way later in the story.
