What's the best build for FOT? I tried to make an assassin with a knife but I sucked dick hard
>>721526117This game always makes me think of Paprika Pringles. I bought a tube of them when I was out at the shops to buy the game.

>>721526202Hmmmmm..............Pringles
>>721526117Invest in Big Guns and later Energy Weapons. Melee build is not viable in Tactics, even the most proficient melee-centered recruits you unlock later suck ass.
>>721526117The likely easiest way to go is to go big guns/doctor/whatever you want, all doctors recruit sucks and it keeps you useful for first few missions where you don't have a big gun. Remember that in FOT you need base stats for perks and using drugs to boost you won't work so you absolutely need 8 PE and 6 LK to be good at combat.
>>721526117>>721526678I'll add, the closest to an assassin you'll get is a sniper (Small Guns). In general, it's useful to have several heavy weapons guys and snipers in your squad. Later, sniper rifles turn into water guns due to extremely poor armor penetration, so you'll want to switch to energy weapons. There is armor-penetrating ammo, but it barely makes a difference (many such cases in this piece of shit game). Your squad must perform somewhat ok until you meet supermutants, that's when the going gets tough. And when you meet robots, any semblance of balance goes to die because the game hasn't been tested this far.
>>721528901>because the game hasn't been tested this far.Is this even legal?
>>721529941Would be funny if it was. Headlines read "SHITTY GAMES OUTLAWED".
>>721528901Should have switched to recruits skilled in energy weapons
>>721530645IIRC there's only one or two who are proficient in them and they happen to suck at everything else. Anyway, it's not the problem, most of my squad excelled at energy weapons. Robots are just very mean by design, which I guess is the result of level designers understanding that there is little one can do with such a tight deadline, so they just spammed a lot of bullshit to stretch out the gameplay as last resort, testing be damned.
