They drop the whole "mirror HERO gimmick" really quickly thanks to Neos shilling giving Jaden something different and he amounts to nothing despite his motivation to avenge his father. He gets made an utter fool of by the villain so Jaden can save the day in S2 and bumbles around in S3 and loses there too.
The best part about GX is that Hellkaiser gets away with absolutely everything. A lesser series would have had Shou beat him.
