I am finishing Hollow Knight soon and even though I like it I have to say the player character's visual design feels goofy and almost out of place. The Knight is essentially a demonic revenant killing machine that turns into an eldritch nightmare monster in the final ending, but his standard form is one of a googly-eyed child or a plushie. I understand the devs probably consider the visual design iconic but I don't think it fits with what the Knight is or what he does. He should've started looking more like an adult vessel the more upgrades you get.

Finally 100% and finished the game.Overall it's a great game with some issues. Core gameplay is a huge step up from the first game. Mobility is very satisfying, also a huge step up. Well-optimized and didn't run into any bugs. Obscene amount of content. Many many great moments, big and small. Big variety of enemies, bosses, locations, and setpieces. Crests, tools, and silk skills are cool. Charms are kinda a downgrade but there's a few fun ones.I think my main complaint is that Act 3 is a bit of a mess. It's a great idea and there's plenty of good moments but I don't think it meshes very well with the world design. How am I supposed to know what's changed? How am I supposed to figure out where I'm supposed to use the super jump to access the objectives? The whole thing is kinda walkthrough bait.Also the fact that all the dream areas aren't connected to the world proper and don't have anything to find besides the main objective is disappointing.
