I've just bought a Deathadder to replace my piece of shit double clicking Logitech mouse. Apparently Razer are one of the only companies making mice with optical click sensors instead of mechanical, and don't suffer from the problem as a result. (Should note that they haven't always been that way, so older Razer mice might still have the problem...)

I'm tempted to go full gamer crunk and get a keyboard too.

Show me your gamer peripherals fags.

Got this little fuckler. I think I've had it for about 2 and half months so far and I'm liking it. It's my first wireless mouse. I had the G502 Hero before this which I really liked but was getting tired of it being wired.
>>
>>721629224
I bought a new one recently and I vowed never to buy one again. Every razer mouse I have owned breaks with the scroll wheel. My razer naga completely self destructed when my power went out, even though my stuff was connected to a surge protector
>>
>>721629958
Really? I'm getting a wireless one.

>>721629941
That's pretty cute. How is it?
>>
I have a Deathadder V3 Pro, that already has the optical sensor, so no double clicking but the scorll wheel went to shit really fast, like literally unusable, if you tried to scroll it scrolled up and down at the same time and mostly it just stayed in place. Ended up replacing the scroll wheel encoder to TTC Gold that I got from aliexpress for literal pennies. The catch was that I had to do the soldering myself, and I doubt it's an option to many people. Anyway, ever since then the mouse has been perfect, but seriously fuck Razer, I should have to do shit like this for the price they ask for their stupid mice.
>>
>>721630671
Feels good so far. It's a lot lighter than my previous mouse so that's a nice change, plus I like the design. It gives me early Alienware vibes. It charges stupid quick too but Idk if that's the software just lying to me. Either way the battery life is pretty good. I think I've charged it maybe 3-4 times in the 2 1/2 months I've owned it.
>>
kone aimo cuz big hands
the extra button at the bottom takes a bit to get used to but it works fine

Razer Huntsman V2 analog, Deathadder V3 30k dpi wired, Logitech G Pro X wired.
I am quite content with my peripheral choices.
>>
>>721630878
I've been using a Deathadder V3 Pro Wireless for probably more than two years now and even the scroll wheel still works. I actually don't think any other mouse has lasted for me this long.
>>
Its 2025 and people are still buying Razer shit?
>>
>>721629224
Fuck Razer. I had a Deathadder v2, it was a decent mouse that lasted for a good while but eventually started double clicking. I wasn't mad, I wanted to buy another one. Their v3/v4 models have FEWER BUTTONS than the v2 for no fucking reason. Trash company. I went with a g502 instead because I refuse to break the bank for a mouse. The g502 button placement is really bad, but I've gotten used to it.

I've had a V2 for a year or two and it's still pretty good, but of all things my middle mouse button double clicks occasionally. It's pretty rare, and only noticeable when I open two new tabs at once, but it's funny.
>>
>>721632015
Nice. Mine literally just arrived. I was using a Logitech G203 (wanted something a bit fancier this time too) and holy shit, it's so light and smooth comparatively. I hope the wheel doesn't shit itself on me. Feels like a good mouse.

>>
I've been using a razer naga wireless.. epic? From 2020. At around 5 years old it's the longest surviving raze product I've ever used. Sometimes the side buttons don't work and I have to take on and off the magnetic button panel to fix it. The scroll wheel has started to double click sometimes, I notice it when using scroll wheel clock to open a window in a new tab, it will open two tabs. But this happens seldomly and overall it's not broken enough for me to replace it. I also don't use their bloatware synapse software.

I'm also using a Deathadder Essential and while I like its ergonomics the wheel has gone to shit after two years, whenever i try to scroll up or down it takes multiple registrations into either direction so yeah it's practically dead. I got it for dirt cheap on Ali but yeah.

I have had a wireless Deathadder V2 for a while and like it. The new wireless Razers do not have onboard memory on the mouse though which is pretty lame because that means you have to have their computer app open for your light/sensitivity profiles. I think V2 and before have onboard memory so I set the DPI steps on it and closed the program forever.

I got the Cobra because it was cheap and had optical clicks, and almost 2 years later still no double click problems BUT the scroll wheel went to shit pretty fast and the side buttons are not optical so they now sometimes double/no click.

Logitech is using optical switches in some of their mice now too. The issue isn't really mechanical vs optical but that they just started using cheap low quality mechanical switches. It wasn't an issue 15+ years ago from what I remember.

Anyway you have to wonder if they're only using them on the clicks and not the side buttons and scroll wheel which can have the same issues.

>>721633510
It wasn't an issue with the older ones. My MX510/518 never double clicked, but my G203 started double/triple pressing on the side buttons after a few years and the scroll button stopped working. It just depends on your luck, obviously not every mouse is going to have the problem. But it shouldn't be happening as much as it is if they just used better switches.
>>
Don't have a double clicking issue but my Deathadder V2 lost the wheel click and one of the side buttons in 2-3 months. The one I had before that also had the wheel stop working not long after I bought it.
It's a shame Razer mice implode at random because I do quite like their feel and I never found another brand that's just as good but reliable.

My issue with the deathadder was that I kept digging with my thumbnail into the side padding because I had a fucked-up claw grip on the thing. I ended up busting two sets of padding and my thumb started to hurt. I don't play sweaty multiplayer games so I truly don't give a shit about latency. I ended up buying a basilisk while looking for a phone charger at an electronic store and so far the thumb rest feels nice and I haven't dug into the cushion yet.
Also as a complete aside I fucking hate the look of 90% of gaming mouse and while razer certainly isn't innocent of the crime of turning computer hardware into an epilepsy-inducing nightmares of flashing LEDs and overly agressive shapes I would give credit to the deathadder for being relatively restrained.

wireless has lower latency than wired
it used to not be the case because shitty companies made shitty network stacks that introduced retarded amounts of latency

Now companies use proper network stacks and the speed of light through the air is faster than the speed of electricity through copper by a significant amount. You always get lower latency with proper wireless than with cabling until interference happens or you have a shitty network stack.

Also, I bought a mouse from HyperX a year ago, started double clicking in 6 months, sent it back for replacement and the new one started again in less than a month, I'm never buying a new mouse again, if my G400 breaks I will just stop using computers. fuck everything.

they aren't building in obsolescence in their mice, the big western companies are

chinks make all the western mice too, but the western designed mice are designed to break and force you to buy a new mouse. The chink companies aren't doing that, they design the mouse to work forever and when you buy it that's what you get.

the chink mice don't suck

everything wireless suck balls, I am either cursed or my body has some kind of magnetic field that fucks up batteries, all of my phones/earbuds/power banks and other things get bad EXTREMELY quickly, even though I take the utmost care.

fucking 40 year old tech illiterate millenials man

>bought a deathadder v3 on a sale
>noticed slight scrolling issues after a month, like scrolling up instead of down
>saw this thread all of a sudden
>searched the thread for 'scroll' out of curiosity
>apparently, it's a common problem or razer mice
Not touching the black-and-green shit ever again.

I love my naga. The seven wheel is so good for all the craft slop games I play. I couldnt find any other brand that sold similar mouses.

I use a wireless mouse and controller and they both work great, the tech has come a long way. Headsets feel stagnant, we have the same issues now that you would have 15 years ago with dropped connections and poor voice quality.

Bought an asus wireless mouse and the scroll wheel got busted pretty quick too (I have to drown the sensor in machine oil every 6 months or so to fix it) this must be some sort of jewish plot
>>
>>721649563
it happened to the last 2 logitech i had too i think its going to happen no matter what brand
>>
>>721648213
I have the Logitech g pro x 2. Other than it not coming with the usb adapter it works greats. Really seems like if you don't spend min 200 its just junk

Have been using the cheap deathadders for over 14 years now, I've only had to replace it once and it was because I bound the ping in Apex to it and within a week it was destroyed.
have had the new one for nearly 5 years now and no issues.
>>
>>721649563
it's a common problem with logitech and razer, I don't know about other mouse companies

seems to be a common problem in general because none of them care about the mouse actually being good, all focus is on the two main clicking buttons but as soon as 1 button on the mouse fails, including the scroll or side buttons, the mouse is as good as garbage, yet they only add optical switches and shit to the two main buttons so the failure mode stays and you toss the mouse after 1.5 years.
>>
>buy deathadder v2
>the sillicone shit turns to goo within months

The blackpill is every mouse fails in some way or another, you just have to pick your poison. If there was a 'perfect' mouse everybody would just use that brand, but it doesn't exist.
>>
>>721649313
they do. they're just cheaper.
>>
>>721649803
Yeah you're probably right, as I have heard other people say the same. I mostly just use my wired headset when I game anyways, mainly because its open eared and no wireless headsets seem to be.
>>
>>721648213
The trick is to stop buying anything branded as a "gaming" headset. I've got a pair of Sony Ult Wears on atm.
>>
If it isn't formed to fit my left hand I don't care. 99.99% of mice are, to me, useless garbage.

G600 is still sold in Japan just under their “logicool” branding (it sounds like a knockoff but it’s legit).

Probably gonna be a bit pricey to import but there’s really no alternative that came close for me.
>>
>>721649676
my problem is more with batteries.

>>721649998
this is why being able to repair/replace shit is essential. Louis Rossman is my modern hero
>>
>>721632559
iirc nyxi put out some shit membranes on their nyxi wizard gamecube joycons and instead of playing with them more they just went mouse-clicks on the warrior and wizard 2 because it's easier

look at battlerGC pro and GC ultimate if you want rubber membrane buttons a more modern gamecube controller
