To those that like to parrot those 'Record breaking sales' figures, do a bit of critical thinking. They had the Switch prior which was massively successful. Stores after seeing this ordered tons of stock, which Nintendo had preprepared this time. All these shipped units have nothing to do with the console itself, but the momentum they had built up previously. Every time I go by the tech centers of a store, I see Switch 2s fully stocked and not being bought. The Wii U was selling out initially because of the momentum the Wii had given it. Big head honchos don't resign this early into a console launch if it's truly doing well. It wouldn't surprise me if they reverse course on some of their arrogant decisions in the next year and beyond. The momentum is already slowing down, and the Switch 2 isn't good enough to stand on its own merits as of right now.
