I've been having some success with accel + technical drift + lvl 2 quick charge. The idea is that technical drift helps your dogshit boost and your dogshit handling on turns while the accel makes up for the slowdown. Might still be a bad idea though, I'm still not sure if the boost stat affects boost duration. Boost and Handling feel like they have the biggest impact and acceleration is bad at both.

I like the game, I’ve raced on every course now and done a bunch of online races and some time trials. I really like the tracks, I won’t compare it to Mario Kart World too much beyond this but World only had a few tracks I actually liked racing on while here, I like almost all of them. Crossworlds included. I like how fast you can go and also the build system is pretty nice, I was able to become invincible in the water sections by stacking boost with level 4 boost while in another race, I was just stealing rings and spinning around. It’s a fun game, it rewards being silly while also being serious at the same time. The animations are a bit janky, there’s some weird physics stuff sometimes and I don’t like the slime, I thought we left stick spinning events in the past, but I pretty much like the rest (so far).

Just finished playing for today, didn’t even realize it was 1am alreadySuch a ridiculously fun game, I love how the tracks feel like true Sonic levels with the multiple different pathways. I also like how there’s so many different ways to gain speed, and you go fast as shit when you’re able to max everything out, this is the kind of speed and control I want from a racing game. Music fucks hard, the track selection has great variety and the level switch mechanic keeps things interesting every game. Spent a few hours customizing shit with my gf and came up with some cute designs although I need to get some more stickers. I also want to fuck the fucking shit out of Amy and Cream, desperately wishing for Vanilla and Honey in the game. Also where’s Tikal? Chaos? Mephiles? A few obvious misses in the roster but that’s my biggest complaints.

If its going to happen I will just use something, 2 OP items is enough on the final lap, 3 item slots is helpful with this in addition of item swap. You get OP items around 6th place still in this game you are not hanging around in 12 or such as well.
