I finished dark souls 1&2 and nioh mulitple times on this motherfucker and i love it. I dropped it few times and something inside broke off but it works perfectly after what? 4 or 5 years at least. But i only use pad for souls games everything else i play on cheap ass keyboard and cheap ass mouse. My keyboard actually has metal sheet underneath and on the sides and when i touch it it electrocutes me a little but I don't mind i learned not to touch the sides

DualSense for basically everything I can. Outside of the d-pad it's probably one of the best ones in terms of ergonomics, feel, and general quality even if it can get stick drift.
Switch Pro 2 controller is okay but I feel like it needed to be horizontally wider by a tiny bit, and the Switch/Switch 2 Joycons are bad when you actually have to precisely aim. I don't know why they feel so bad for aiming but they do.
Series controller is better than the Xbone one but man does it still suck compared to the 360 ones. Worse bumpers, guide button, and sticks in exchange for a better d-pad.

I know and i don't care anymore. I'm just trying to survive for another month. Month afrwr month.
Btw the keyboard i mentioned is made by tracer. You can see that the part that electrocutes me is brown. It's not rust because i was wrong, it's not metal, it kinda feels like metal but it's actually some sort of plastic weird shit. So it can't rust. But i am assuming electricity can still travel through plastic and it burns it? Not sure. Anyway i had the same keyboard before and it had the same exact problem

Is there any comparison between different gamesir controllers? I want something wireless and xbox shaped. I was looking at cyclone 2, because it seems to have HE and what not, and having a docking station sounds nice. I play FPs on a kbm, so I don't care for features for those, and a lot of reviews seem to focus on it.

I can't see how they have higher prices than legit Sony/Xbox controllers, since when did third party controllers cost more?
Even looking at >>721790639 its a similar price to the PS5 controller and from using the pro 2 version I don't see how exactly it could be valued the same.

At least where I'm from, they are cheaper. Not factoring in sales or ordering from aliexpress/temu, where the difference can be even bigger. PS5 controller here is ~$78. Cyclone 2 with the docking station is ~$63.

Never going back to controllers without HE sticks or charging stand contacts (reduces stress on charging port)

This is only if you look at handheld controllers.

Realistically, if I wanted a Series controller replacement that worked on my SeX what should I be opting for? I was considering a Cyclone 2 or something from Gulikit but I'd like to run that by you guys. Are they 1:1 like a Series controller ergonomically or are they a bit different? Working on Switch and PS doesn't matter, I have the DualSense and Pro Controller 2 for that, but I'd like something that also works for PC when I want to use Xinput. Gyro would be nice to have too.

>>721793884
>I owned MANY PS4 controllers, all stopped charging and also only lasted a few days.
What the hell were you doing to the port to die that quickly? Mine all lasted about two years before the MicroUSB started giving out, and the fix for it is to just buy
https://lectronz.com/products/ps4-controller-usb-c
and then shave a bit of the charging port so you can fit the new port in and they work perfectly. I did it for both my DS4s and they work on my PS4 and PC just fine.
>>
>>721791762

>Not every 'box controller is like that.
Both the official Xbone and Series controllers CLACKALCK like mad. The ABXY and burger/menu/screenshot buttons are the loudest by far out of any major controller by a considerable margin, LB/RB are fairly loud, the sticks are the loudest out of the big three when they hit the ridges, and the d-pad is immensely loud. The d-pad in particular is the loudest part of a Series controller to such a degree you can hear it across a room even though your thumb is completely covering it sometimes.

Switch 2 Pro Controller is the most silent controller I've ever touched, you can't even hear it.

Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 for World of Warcraft (using reWASD). It was given to me for free by Verizon ISP. It's not perfect, but those four back peddles really help modify all the front facing buttons.

PS5 controller for that console. The also use the controller that came with the Xbox Series X for that console and Steam gaming.

I have a cheap Chinese wireless knockoff Switch pro controller that works surprising well (ELISWEEN on Amazon). I got this for emulating Nintendo games (not Switch as i have the Lite)

>Argument from authority over arcade sticks
It's simple logic anon.
a d-pad is a solution that is only good on handheld devices and devices that aren't handheld can take full advantage of being moved or rotated relative to whatever they are attached to or resting on (throttle, wheel, flightstick, mouse) while providing actual feedback through said attachment, meaning that there is a huge swathe of potential missing from handheld controllers. This means that handheld controllers are inferior unless they take full advantage of actually being handheld by using unseated motion controls.

they should continue memeing into the silent mouse click buttons, i would say GameSir G7 Pro is perfect if it wasn't for the click sounds

on the pro3 you dont have the mouse type of click, but the buttons do a clacking nose when you release them. its not as bad but feels a bit excessive compared to dunno, a PS2 or SNES pad.
might be because they added the magnetic button swap gimmick.

All I want is a dualsense rip off with hall effect sticks and a decent battery life that I can use on PC and PS5 without issue but everyone always uses the Xbox/Switch stick layout.

Then do it. I'm dead serious.

I love the Dualsense too and I modded the shit out of mine. TMR, colored face and home buttons, tightened the sticks, the works. If you want your own "perfect controller" you need to put in the work.
>>

Nonsense. There's tons of chinese controllers that still use it. It's not going anywhere even if Sony drops it for PS6.

I have both, no idea what you're talking about. They're identical apart from additional buttons and texturing.

>>721812451
I'm used to asymmetrical stick: I own a 360, Xbone, and I use an Xbone controller on PC usually (mostly because I'm sick of spending money replacing defective dualsenses,) but I prefer symetrical. If I'm going to spend $100+ on a controller I want the PS layout.

>>721813001
first party pro controllers are never worth it. more expensive than chink counterparts and somehow far worse quality control. either buy a regular xbox one/dualshock4 or do some research on chink controllers.
>>
>>721813129
You're missing out on a bare minimum of build quality. Snoy and Nintendo engineered planned stick drift into everything for the last 10 years but whatever your opinion on xbox controllers (not my favorite) they at least don't have a 100% defective rate if you dare to use it.

The softness of Xbox triggers definitely shit all over PlayStation's. The rest of the DS mold feels more comfortable and is quieter though.

D-pad is a tossup between the two, I like both for different reasons honestly.
>>
>>721790108
Mine has finally got drift. I was closing 300 hours in Elden Ring.
>>
>>721813547

>>
>>721813525
I prefer the DS dpad and triggers by a mile. Problem is everything else about the controller is defective, chinesium, garbage.
>>
>>721813602
>triggers
With the exception of force feedback triggers (which are hardly used anyway) what do you prefer exactly? The way the hard plastic digs into your fingers, especially when the same force feedback is fighting your press and stopping you from pushing any harder?

Xbox triggers imo feel much softer to the touch and have a nice bounciness when they retract. They might be the best triggers I have ever used.

>>721813794
I like the shorter travel and the bumpers much better.

Like I said though the Dualsense is such terrible build quality (on purpose mind you) that it hardly matter.
>>
>>721813274
Xbox controllers suffer from stick drift too. They use potentiometers just like Sony and Nintendo controllers.
>>
>>721813863
How is this? I'm thinking of getting one in November.
>>
>>721813001
Only, and only, if you swap their made-to-fail potentiometers for a TMR module.
>>
>>721814021
Never noticed an issue with the travel, maybe you're more susceptible to that. I agree with you on the bumpers though, the Xbox bumpers feel cheap as shit.
>>
>>721814047
Works fine so far. Start and select takes a short while getting used to. Hall effect so should last too. I have their 360 one too but that has normal sticks but it feels really nice.
>>
>>721814157
How is the D-pad? Worse or better than stock Xbox?

I wish they made these things wirelessly. Better yet bring back the Duke and add HE sticks.
>>
>>721814024
They don't get drift anywhere near as badly, or as quickly, as the other two. I shit you not I'm on Dualsense number 5 at this point. My Xbone controllers, and my 20 year old 360 controllers are all fine.
>>
>>721814217

>>
>>721814269

>>
>>721814232

Luckily my DualSense still works, but my friend had to buy three Xbox controllers due to stick drift. I wish companies would just move to HE or TMR.
>>
>>721814332
What do you mean?
>>
>>721814423
Either double input or no input.
>>
>>721814415
>I wish companies would just move to HE or TMR.
Not only do they make more money from the planned obsolescence (so drifting is completely on purpose, by design), even if they decided to switch now it would be an admittance of selling faulty parts which would make them liable to replace every purchased controller in a given gen.
>>
>>721814469
Ah yeah. There's actually an infamous problem with the A button on literally every single Xbone/Series controller having faulty contacts. I forgot the full story but basically you have to push in just a little harder on the A button compared to all the other buttons on the controller to register input. You can actually try testing this yourself. It sucks.

Since the release of Dark Souls, more and more games have used it as the primary button for attack/run/evade/parry. I don't think the RB was designed for such heavy use.
