I finished dark souls 1&2 and nioh mulitple times on this motherfucker and i love it. I dropped it few times and something inside broke off but it works perfectly after what? 4 or 5 years at least. But i only use pad for souls games everything else i play on cheap ass keyboard and cheap ass mouse. My keyboard actually has metal sheet underneath and on the sides and when i touch it it electrocutes me a little but I don't mind i learned not to touch the sides

>>721790108DualSense for basically everything I can. Outside of the d-pad it's probably one of the best ones in terms of ergonomics, feel, and general quality even if it can get stick drift.Switch Pro 2 controller is okay but I feel like it needed to be horizontally wider by a tiny bit, and the Switch/Switch 2 Joycons are bad when you actually have to precisely aim. I don't know why they feel so bad for aiming but they do.Series controller is better than the Xbone one but man does it still suck compared to the 360 ones. Worse bumpers, guide button, and sticks in exchange for a better d-pad.
Custom one from Xbox
>>721790556I know and i don't care anymore. I'm just trying to survive for another month. Month afrwr month. Btw the keyboard i mentioned is made by tracer. You can see that the part that electrocutes me is brown. It's not rust because i was wrong, it's not metal, it kinda feels like metal but it's actually some sort of plastic weird shit. So it can't rust. But i am assuming electricity can still travel through plastic and it burns it? Not sure. Anyway i had the same keyboard before and it had the same exact problem

This is the perfect 2D controller.
This thread just popped up as my 8bitdo pro 2 controllers right most/cancel button died. Bought it on /v/s recommendation and didn't have any real complaints. Lasted 2 years and 2 months.
Is there any comparison between different gamesir controllers? I want something wireless and xbox shaped. I was looking at cyclone 2, because it seems to have HE and what not, and having a docking station sounds nice. I play FPs on a kbm, so I don't care for features for those, and a lot of reviews seem to focus on it.
>>721791979I can't see how they have higher prices than legit Sony/Xbox controllers, since when did third party controllers cost more?Even looking at >>721790639 its a similar price to the PS5 controller and from using the pro 2 version I don't see how exactly it could be valued the same.

Realistically, if I wanted a Series controller replacement that worked on my SeX what should I be opting for? I was considering a Cyclone 2 or something from Gulikit but I'd like to run that by you guys. Are they 1:1 like a Series controller ergonomically or are they a bit different? Working on Switch and PS doesn't matter, I have the DualSense and Pro Controller 2 for that, but I'd like something that also works for PC when I want to use Xinput. Gyro would be nice to have too.>>721793884>I owned MANY PS4 controllers, all stopped charging and also only lasted a few days. What the hell were you doing to the port to die that quickly? Mine all lasted about two years before the MicroUSB started giving out, and the fix for it is to just buyhttps://lectronz.com/products/ps4-controller-usb-cand then shave a bit of the charging port so you can fit the new port in and they work perfectly. I did it for both my DS4s and they work on my PS4 and PC just fine.

The ABXY and burger/menu/screenshot buttons are the loudest by far out of any major controller by a considerable margin, LB/RB are fairly loud, the sticks are the loudest out of the big three when they hit the ridges, and the d-pad is immensely loud. The d-pad in particular is the loudest part of a Series controller to such a degree you can hear it across a room even though your thumb is completely covering it sometimes.Switch 2 Pro Controller is the most silent controller I've ever touched, you can't even hear it.

>>721813206>>721813354how good is this apex one?
>>721813794I like the shorter travel and the bumpers much better.Like I said though the Dualsense is such terrible build quality (on purpose mind you) that it hardly matter.
>>721813274Xbox controllers suffer from stick drift too. They use potentiometers just like Sony and Nintendo controllers.
>>721813863How is this? I'm thinking of getting one in November.
>>721813001Only, and only, if you swap their made-to-fail potentiometers for a TMR module.
>>721814021Never noticed an issue with the travel, maybe you're more susceptible to that. I agree with you on the bumpers though, the Xbox bumpers feel cheap as shit.
>>721814047Works fine so far. Start and select takes a short while getting used to. Hall effect so should last too. I have their 360 one too but that has normal sticks but it feels really nice.
>>721814157How is the D-pad? Worse or better than stock Xbox?I wish they made these things wirelessly. Better yet bring back the Duke and add HE sticks.
>>721814024They don't get drift anywhere near as badly, or as quickly, as the other two. I shit you not I'm on Dualsense number 5 at this point. My Xbone controllers, and my 20 year old 360 controllers are all fine.
>>721814217Hard to say. I don't use it much but I would say roughly the same. It looks and feels better than that image though
>>721814269I appreciate it. The price is slowly climbing on Amazon so I'm hoping to grab it before it becomes too expensive.
I had more problems with the face buttons on newer xbox first party controllers.
>>721814232>I shit you not I'm on Dualsense number 5 at this point.Luckily my DualSense still works, but my friend had to buy three Xbox controllers due to stick drift. I wish companies would just move to HE or TMR.
>>721814332What do you mean?
>>721814423Either double input or no input.
>>721814415>I wish companies would just move to HE or TMR.Not only do they make more money from the planned obsolescence (so drifting is completely on purpose, by design), even if they decided to switch now it would be an admittance of selling faulty parts which would make them liable to replace every purchased controller in a given gen.
>>721814469Ah yeah. There's actually an infamous problem with the A button on literally every single Xbone/Series controller having faulty contacts. I forgot the full story but basically you have to push in just a little harder on the A button compared to all the other buttons on the controller to register input. You can actually try testing this yourself. It sucks.
>>721813503Yeah, it looks premium and has the all-new capacitive sticks. It has almost everything I want, the only things missing are a recharge base and adjustable tension.
>>721814469>>721814659So that's why my A button randomly gets fucked up sometimes
>>721814824It doesn't help that the actual buttons themselves are hard as shit and super uncomfortable to press. God I fucking hate Xbox face buttons.
>>721790108Xbox black controller with wireless adapter for PC
>>721814894Yeah I don't like them either, but I still use xbone on PC because I hate stick drift and 2 hr battery life even more. I'm just fucking done giving snoy money at this point.
>>721814332I had more issues with the RB button, it keeps breaking.Since the release of Dark Souls, more and more games have used it as the primary button for attack/run/evade/parry. I don't think the RB was designed for such heavy use.
>>721815103Yeah I use my SeX controller a lot too. I basically have to tolerate the buttons digging into my thumbs. They are so goddamn bulbous and turn my thumbs into swiss cheese by the end of a session.
>>721796843You can change them on the fly, and you don't have to worry about them exploding since you can always get AA rechargeable batteries. If you disagree, then you should try charging PS3 controller.
>>721815249>it keeps breaking. How many Xbox controllers have you owned?
>>721800289>Not enloop profag
Are Xbox face buttons closer to each other compared to PS buttons?
>>721796843If you own an Xbox controller do yourself a huge favor and buy thisNo more buying new batteries as it juices like a PlayStation controller, but the difference is it dies in 3 days instead of 3 hours. You can still swap it like regular batteries too. It's basically the best of both worlds.
Why hasn't the EU sued all consol manufacturers over their intentional defects yet? The EU sues everyone.
>>721815917No they're both positioned to be even diamond shapes. It's been like this since the PS4/Xbone days.
>>721816063File a complaint, be the change you want to see nigga.
>>721816045>3x the price of 4 enloops pro that you can quickly swap and also has lower capacity. Kill yourself.
>>721816063Politicians don't know what a controller is.
>>721816161I don't live in that shithole, I just like when they fuck with vidya companies.
>>721816171>can't even greentext properlyyngmi
>>721816045I would still argue two sets of rechargeable batters and charger are a better option.
>>721816210>I don't live in that shitholeMe neither>I just like when they fuck with vidya companies.Me too. Someone get a new Ross to crusade this shit.
>>721816225It was a misinput. Calm down anon
>>721816234I use AA batteries for a lot of things. I can't be assed.A battery pack specifically for the Xbox is only used for that Xbox, effectively converting your Xbox controller into a DualShock style battery solution.
>>721815883I said it keeps breaking because it broke again after I replaced it with a new RB button. I have owned three Xbox controllers. The 360, the One and the Series. This, and stick drift, has only happened with the Series controller.
>>721816582Oh shit. Why don't you just buy a new controller? Maybe the mold is the problem rather than the button.
>>721799286Doesn't it have analog-digital switches like KK3 Max?
>>721816045>After paying $65 for a controller with features stuck in 2005, you should also pay an additional $20 for a rechargeable battery for that controller.
>>721817105No.
>>721817105>analog-digital switcheslets not call them that please, they're trigger locks
>>721817184Unironically yes
>>721796060>swear my entire life in playing fps games with m+kb>try it once with a gamepad>get instantly motion sick due to camera movement even with max camera speed, the stick just isn't enough to control the camera in a fast way
>>721816045>>721796351lmao sometimes I forget that microsoft still rip off retards with the lack of batteries.
>>721790108DualSense with TMR switches. Indestructible, and everything else is trivial to maintain.
>>721790108Bow down to the modularity God.Joystick module, cross key, face buttons, stick cap, face plate can all be replaced.
>>721818606this is the one that comes with all those funky dpads right?
>>721818704It comes with four additional d-pads, including an analogue stick for it, but it also has the conventional cross.
Is the Switch 2 Pro Controller worth it? Does it work on PC?
>>721790108That one, actually played something recently that uses trigger vibration and I like it.
>>721818987Yeah hahaha that top right one is so weird. I saw a review of it a while back.
>>721819054Impulse triggers. I like it too.
>>721790108Bought one of those 8bitdos because of everyone shilling it on here. Works pretty well so far.
>>721819235Are the buttons loud?
>>721818037They're good gamepads, but overpriced. Safe bets if you don't know much about gamepads and want just the plug-and-play experience.
>>721806918>>721807035>>721807413Just use silicon lube specifically designed for microswitches, you useless retarded zoomers. Fucking mongoloid generation.
they really didn't put much effort into this despite it being the 30th anniversary, but i have it regardless
>>721820180how much you want for it give me a price
>>721819271Not silent but way quieter than the cheap knockoff xbox 360 controller I had before
>>721820378hows the dpad?
>>721790108I use a lot of different ones on my PC, but what I've been using the most recently is just a PS2 controller via usb adapter and a Gamecube Controller via Nintendo's official adapter.
Grok optimize this post to be less wordy >>721820527
>>721820216not for saleyou don't really want it anyways
>>721820672>>721790108I mainly use a PS2 controller with a USB adapter and a Gamecube controller with Nintendo's adapter on my PC.
for me? it's the gamesaar
>Xbox controller keeps disconnecting via cable>Swap out cable>Still disconnecting>Try back up Xbox controller with texture I hate that I bought because it was on sale and looks cool>Works fine indicating the problem is the good controller's USB port.Ree, I bought a Blu-Tooth adapter so I guess I should set that up even if I fucking hate battery swapping for something I'm feet away from.
>>721820815Thank you Grok :)
>can't turn off led or dim on pcI can't fucking believe itWhy is Xbox and Microsoft so retarded sometimes
Do you still need a degree in Windows Drivers and shit to use a Duel Shock controller on PC? Do you still have to install that fuck-ass DS4WIndows shit? Why can't these controllers just be plugin-play?
>>721821048works on my machine>>721821096no and no
>>721821048>sometimes
>>721821096Unless you use Steam Input or DS4Windows, you can only use Sony and Nintendo controllers in game that support them.
>>721820842I hope that GameSaar will release a G7 Pro equivalent that is free from Microsoft restrictions. That Xbox shackle is holding me back.
>>721821096>Why can't these controllers just be plugin-play?But they are, on my Linux gaming machine.
>>721821096>whyXinput
>>721820483has a bit of play but I don't think there's anything wrong with it mechanically
>>721806918>Gamesaar has some poo on the right stickLmao. Also that plastic looks cheap as fuck as usual.
>>721821048Xbox controllers are, literally, stuck in 2005. Microsoft refuse to invest a single dime in improving the features of that piece of shit.By failing to update or give a damn to their input API, they are holding back developers, who cannot, by default, designate actions to back buttons or gyroscope. Players also have to deal with ancient potentiometers.
>it's really called a gamesirlmao
>>721822284please redeemunironically though these are good controllers and they kinda came out of nowhereI recently got one of their phone-controller things and they're pretty good for when I emulate games on my phone, it even has pass-through charging.
>xbox elite 2 controller>meh>never understood bumpers/paddles/etc>seems like some shit for sweaty tacti-cool gamers >play halo infinite>to "mark" enemies I have to press a button on the d-pad, mutually exclusive to using the thumb-stick, so I have to do the crab-claw thing for a bit>waitaminute.jpg>bind a paddle to the "mark" button>can mark enemies while moving in parallel now>can even bind paddles to random shit like volume-controls/screenshots/clip-recording/etci get it now
>>721822616They're cheap, but they're not pretty good quality, I have one that's similar to your pic and first it doesn't work on iphone, and one day I tried charging while playing and started to malfunction and finally stopped working, I never had any issues with a backbone one and the shape it's much better for my hands, problem is that they don't work with foldables.
i kinda wanna add support for Gyro to my game for little mundane things like rotating a character pedestal or adding little parallax effects and such. not gameplay related or anything, just little supplemental cosmetic effectshow is gyro support on PC?
Just bought this from my local used vidya store for $38 ten mins ago. What am I in for?
>>721816045I boughted, no complaints.
>>721824932stick drift
>>721824932oh that was minei shot ropes all over thatyou might want to wash your hands when youre done gaming
>>721825045I'm the guy with 5 Dualsenses so I assure you I have already hit rock bottom in that department long, long ago.
>>721825065>*licks controllerMore pls daddy
So. Is Steam Controller 2 a thing or not?
>low latency>symmetrical layout >hall effect sticksIt just works. I do wish the cable was a little longer though.
Pass me the controller, bro.
>>721811839As some anon said, Im too stupid to solder shit. Besides that, its been working for a long time by now without problems. Might try doing so if it starts drifting again.
>>721790865>>721790925Clean your room you disgusting namenigger.
Still the best
>>721812119>im a registered nurseSo you're a narcissist.
>>721826805Not when the DualShock 2 exists.
>>721812119>im a registered nurseyeah? go do some tiktok dances nigga
>>721827095Probably won't even be current by the time my 360 controller dies.
>>721827095not when the gamesaar cyclone 2 exists
>>721827365not without pressure sensitive buttons it isnt
>>721827643do you really need that in 2025?
>>721817780Play with gyro.
>>721827746Yes Anonymous. I need it and I need it to come back to modern controllers too.
>>721825221Well, go to Steam and try to buy one.
Is the 8bitdo Pro 3 better than the Ultimate 2C? I have the latter and the dpad isn't as good as I'd like it to be, especially for platformers.
>>721829169Same d-pad.
>>721829169I like the d-pad on the pro3 and I think its better than on my ultimate. I dont have the ultimate-c though.
>>721790108for emulation and PS ports - dualsensefor everything else, some gamesaar, it's g7se i think?
>>721813001no, my experience with the elite series controller:the glue on the rubber started giving outrubber endings on 1 set of sticks brokeboth sticks started drifting soon after thatRB button stopped registering every press, same with A button and 3 out of 4 paddleseverything happened one after the other like a week after the warranty endedi just gave up on 1st party controllers and got myself a cheap gamesaar with backpaddles, works like a fucking charm few years and counting
