The amount and quality of demos being released is already starting to increase in the build up to the next festival. You people often complain about not having enough time to play demos, so starting earlier is an obvious solution.
it's my right to complain on /v/stop giving solutions don't need them
I always have way too many games to play. I can't even keep up with them. Indie games, old game backlog and the occasional AAA/AA game keep me very busy. I have never thought "There are no good games coming out".
>>721795323I like demos, have played then a lot recently.Found a couple interesting games, but gotta wait because of early access
>>721795323>The amount and quality of demos being released is already starting to increase in the build up to the next festival.I really like that demos carrying over progress are selling people on games.
>>721795323They're prepping for the Autumn Sale in two days.
>>721795323>just download 1 billion infostealers and other malware packaged with unfinished slop from lone actorsuh... no?
>>721796608cope from a dope
>>721795323Like wgat? I only know about Menace demo releasing next month.
The cutting edge demo was really good.
>>721796758So was Motorslice.
>>721796154it can really help a game
>>721796758>Trauma Center but it's a flash game for gay furries
>>721797037>gay furriesgotta expand that audience
>>721797037I don't think you can be gay when it's not your own species, man. It'd be like calling eating them cannibalism.
>>721795323There are no good or fun videogames anymoreI'll just continue replaying the same old games over and over. I'll probably play Arx Fatalis again.
>>721797331AM SHAEGAR
>>721796608demos are generally checked before they are given a steam page. steam cares about its reputation, after all
>>721797258>I don't think you can be gay when it's not your own speciesif you fuck a male horse, you're gay nigger
>>721796608that rumour you heard about cancer boy was probably bullshit. he is scamming people with a sobstory.
>>721797331Arx Fatalis was interesting but I can't see myself ever wanting to play it a second time.
>>721795323Tokyo Game Show Demo Section is already chock full of them.I already have several I never seen before. But I remember correctly, Menace will have demo this NF?
he probably doesn't even have cancer and just shaved his head because, as a man, he can't get money by just showing his breasts, since he does not possess them.
>>721797462The recent thing with the malware game stealing a cancer patient's funds means Valve's systems aren't as good as thought.https://www.gdatasoftware.com/blog/2025/09/38265-steam-blockblasters-game-downloads-malware
>>721796608>Windia problemstime to joins us in the XXI century and upgrade to Linux, so you can enjoy modern features such as per-game sandbox
>>721797653because it was added AFTER release in an update
>>721797538You can play Monomyth :^)
>>721797676Right, but it means Valve's systems can't prevent edge cases like a submarine attack here where we have a legit game with positive reviews that was then used as a vehicle to deliver malware after it had some time to spread.
>>721797673>Upgrade>Linux
>>721797694The demo for that was fucking awful.
>>721797590>Tokyo Game Show Demo Section is already chock full of them. It's full of games that have no reason to be there. Why is a TGS promo full of non-Japanese games and years old games that haven't had any updates?
>>721797590Any you recommend?
>>721797845because you touch yourself at night
>>721797845Everyone and their mother are at TGS now.
>>721797869Snow Ash was something I intended to play for 20 minutes but ended up with 2 hours. Janky but soulful so far.
>>721797845TGS started as promotion of jap games. But since most of industry sudokud for ESG points, there is now lots of space for foreign games.
>>721797845Japan opened its borders, bro.
>>721795323>>721795323there's always a few good titles. but i am tired of the sheer amount of SH/RE ripoff slop. it's all the same and not interesting. this being the october nextfest worries me that we will see an absurd amount of shitty RE clones. i don't mind when they do something interesting with the formula, like that one that combined RE with a turnbased tactics game on a grid. but for the most part, these devs do a shoddy job of replicating the gameplay systems as close as they can and slapping a new coat of paint on the game. nothing interesting to it at all.
>>721797590>Menacemonday
last time i gave each one like 30 minutes and i actually found a a couple of games that i ended up liking. pic related i liked a lot and i've been keeping up with. demos are great and i'm glad that devs put them out.
>>721798268Yeah, it's pretty based. I like Resident Evil and Silent Hill so constantly getting new games is great. Steam Wishlists are down at the moment but I have tons and tons on there. It's going to be a big october. You're either talking about Vultures Scavengers of Death or House of Necrosis, but Rogue Mansion is also a strong contender and of course, there's Tormented Souls 2.The Lacerator has a unique game mechanic as well.
Barkour is getting a demo
>>721798532>Yeah, it's pretty based.if any of them were good, sure. the only one that follows the formula closely that looks good to me is SSR wives.
>>721797845It's just a gameshow, in Japan, the birthplace of gaming. You know anyone can enter the show? Like...........................................do you have a brain>?
>>721798602you gotta chill the fuck out
>>721798626Do you think every game in the TGS Steam showcase is making an appearance at the actual TGS?
>>721798602just calm down, okay
That's one scary looking Goose. no one has done zombie geese yet. it's always dogs and spiders
>>721798772>>721798803no, there's too much slop being produced. i will keep complaining about it. why can't these devs iterate on the formula? why can none of them bring original ideas to the table? like heartworm, what was original about it? even its aesthetics were an unoriginal mishmash of SH, alice madness returns, fatal frame, and lain. the people making these games can barely be called game devs, this is the sonic OC of game design.
>>721798786bit of a trick question there but I am untrickable.Nevertheless, the answer is:ya
>>721796154many demos also kill the interest for many people, sometimes just because the demo is not well thought out, it's risky for devs
>>721797721>a legit game with positive reviewsIt was an asset flip full of bot reviews that was probably made specifically for the purpose of this attack and the victim was probably in on it too with how shady the whole thing is.
Hope they will put a demo
>>721795323Is there a preview link available already?
>>721798268>like that one that combined RE with a turnbased tactics game on a gridWasn't that a roguelite? Or was there another one?
>>721799464Not yet. Some of us can play demos anyway, though.
>>721799674the other anon got the name, vultures scavengers of death. it wasn't a roguelite.
>>721796030sounds like a (You) problem, tranny>never plays games>only consooms buying the latest release>wahhh muh backlogtry playing games for once
>>721795323Too many people want to make games, we need WW3 to thin the population.
>>721797592>moneyit was a crypto scam
>>721799174Yes, but more often than not demo simply exposes a weak game. This is why publishers don't like them in general.
>>721795323I have no idea how you find anything good in there. The amount of shovelware and AI dreck is staggering.
>>721800557I play games, one by one. Sometimes they are good. I mean, what do you think people do?
>>721797037The plot is kinda gay but I don't think characters themselves are, you can skip it thankfully and jump to fun operations
>>721800557That's what demos are for, anon. You try them. Some are hits, some are misses.
gonna show this bitch who is best at card games
>>721795994fpbp
>>721797037yeah the animal characters have been really offensive to this board, they are kinda being snowflakes about it I might have to censor the characters whenever i post screenshots of it

>>721795323It hasn't started yet, correct?>>721796824I have enjoyed it, really liked how you can damage you drone, I like details like that. I wish checkpoint system would be implemented better and movement could be a little faster. Also I hope later bosses will actually resist you killing them.
>>721800045You have some seriously bad reading comprehension.

this game was running a contest for people who beat the demo the fastest got the game for free.I didn't bother. since only like five people will buy it anyway it seems weird to not pay for it.

>>721806825holy fuck i left the game in the russian language cause I thought it would be scarier but they just won't shut up this cutscene is going on forever
