What 90's and 2000's games do you think are the best/everyone should try out? I'm having trouble finding new stuff to play.

jak and daxter is pretty great if you like 3d platformers and i say that as someone who first played it as an adult around 5 years ago

also rayman 2 and 3

Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 (SNES)
Mario Bros 3 (NES/SNES)
Turok 1 & 2 (PC remasters)
Jet Force Gemini (N64)
Quake 1 & 2 (PC source port)
Blood (PC source port)
Duke Nukem (PC source port)
DooM 1& 2 & 3 (PC source port)

90s and 2000s was the era of 2d platformers and samey shooters. I never was a fucking tendie though and found platformers to be boring and shooters repetitive so I'll mention some obvious classics.
>VtM:Bloodlines
>Morrowind
>Neverwinter Nights
>Might & Magic VII: For Blood and Honor
>Age of Mythology
>Warcraft III
>Dawn of War

what genres do you like? I don't really want to waste my time list posting a bunch of games from genres that don't interest you in the first place

The campaign in Neverwinter Nights is pretty dogshit. Don't recommend anon that unless you want to turn him off of CRPGs forever. He'll die of boredom.

Some pretty obvious recommendations:

Fallout 1
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Medieval 2: Total War
Civilization 4
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 6 and 7
Lufia 2
Mega Man X
Super Metroid
Castlevania: SotN
Diablo 1 and 2
Half Life

Chrono Trigger
