90s and 2000s was the era of 2d platformers and samey shooters. I never was a fucking tendie though and found platformers to be boring and shooters repetitive so I'll mention some obvious classics.

The campaign in Neverwinter Nights is pretty dogshit. Don't recommend anon that unless you want to turn him off of CRPGs forever. He'll die of boredom.
