I want to replace my g502 (wired) with a g502 (wireless) but why the fuck are there so many different variantswhat is the difference between a 502 x, 502 x lightspeed, 502 lightspeed (no x) and any of the PLUS variants?gaming mouse mice meese monsoon thread
why on earth would you replace a wired mouse with a wireless one?
>wireless mousewhy?

I've used a G502 for over nine years now but somehow they managed to fucking ruin it in that time instead of making a better one.
>>721805009>>721805043If you're not "le hardcoar esports gaymer", it's nice to not have a cord getting in the way of shit.

I don't like wireless miceI don't like that the majority of the market is the same homogenized shit.
>>721805701>lightweight esports mouse
I went from a G9x to a g502 and I fucking hate it.The G9 was so easy to take apart and clean + repair. This fucking thing kills itself from regular use, let alone trying to open the damn thing while it shreds to pieces.Crap shit ass.
>>721804929https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tests/control/latencydon't buy logitechscroll down, expand the list and sort by wireless latency
I have an ec2 evo and have for years. I had an old one where I had to replace the buttons, but I got the new one after the company got reacquired or whatever and it still works well. Pushing on a decade by now. I'm a bit of a boomer and I have an mx master and as far as wireless mice go, it does the job.
>>721805403less clutter and less physical space being taken up by things that don't need to be there is good actually. >>numpads and other keys on a keyboard are a problem now, we have to cut the keyboard in halfonly retards think like this, completely unfair comparison but you knew that already faggot. >>721804929I hate all the superlight mice that are out they are so light it feels cheap to me
>>721806057>why are you retards creating problems for yourself that don't exist?Sure anon, the fact it took multiple days to find a true ambidextrous mouse anywhere on the current market has nothing to do with how homogenized this market has become.
>>721806369>buy superlight mouse>complain it's too lightwhat the fuck is wrong with you people
>>721806369same. I actually put the weights of my old 502 alongside a 4x larger battery into my new mouse, cause it felt so cheap. Now it feels premium.
>>721806458where did he say he bought one?retard
>>721806458Technically that's the whole mouse market now you cant avoid light mice
>>721805043>wireless mouse>why? The latency is mostly negligible, but not everyone is playing FPS games.
>>721806440>true ambidextrous mouse>truewhat does the true part even mean, some cheap office mouse is symmetrical so you can use it for both hands which would be what you want, no?besides, do you use your mouse alternating between hands? for what reason? this might just be a oddly specific ask
>>721806775well I needed a mouse with side buttons, but ambidextrous (so, side buttons on both sides), these used to be relatively easy to find but have become nearly impossible today as all manufacturers are making the exact same shit.
>>721805490My 502x has a metal wheel
>>721806840I see, I apologize, you seem to have an actual problem. couldn't you get one custom made at an engineer/inventor's place? might be pricy but if that's what you want...the people buying picrel and then complaining about how it's too light are definitely special, seems like this whole thread is the definition of a dumpsterfire
>>721807025I found one already, after days of searching.and it's STILL a very lightweight mouse compared to my ol' reliable, but it's the best I could find
>>721805701I doubt going from 120 gram to 60 will make a noticeable difference outside of voltaic grandmaster fpsaimtrainer neets but I may be wrong and am open to discussion in fact i would like to be proven wrong cuz i am not giving up my 20 macro buttons
>>721804929Bought G502 Hero.Used it for an hour returned it because of the extremely bouncy, extremely loud and awful scroll wheel that could wake up my neighbors if I scrolled too hard. On occasion bounced back so much it scrolled back.
>>721805701>please PLEASE buy our ultralightweight mice! It's all we make now, we closed our manufacturing for everything else! PLEASSEEE BUY IT!!!No.
How is an ultralight mouse supposed to help you in aiming?Back in my day they even gave you weights to your gaming mouse to adjust how heavy you want it to be.I'd reckon a mouse too light will make your aiming even worse, since then it becomes much easier for it to move too far when you quickly flick it in a direction
>>721804929As a G502X wired user I can tell you the rubber on the sides wears off quite quickly. It also has very loud clicks but optical switches so at least it should not double click.502x lightspeed is just a wireless version and PLUS is just a meme RGB.
>>721808240Mouse manufacturers save costs, using less material. They gaslight players into buying cheap lightweight mice, by telling children that they can have an advantages playing their fps games. The rest is history.
>>721808240because lighter is better, it's as simple as that, it takes less force to move ityou get used to the weight because you're a fucking human
>>721808874>you get used to the weight because you're a fucking humanthat also works for heavier mice... Why are don't they sell hover mice? Like mice without any friction which, would be the easiest to move? Well that's because they can't be produced for a dollar and sold for 80 bucks, unlike lightweight mice. IT was never about the weight, it's about the money... and gamers fall for that shit like always.
>>721808874>it takes less force to move itAre we now pretending that moving a regular sized mouse requires some tremendous force?Just how weak are you?
>>721805009Tendonitis, I can't sit at my desk anymore.
>>721808240Modern gaming is twitchy as fuck which requires lots mouse movement and thus more lifting.>I'd reckon a mouse too light will make your aiming even worse, since then it becomes much easier for it to move too farOpposite is also true though and you get used to that stuff anyways similar to how you get used to sensivity. It boils down to not it being more comfortable in the long run by not getting your hand as tired.
>>721809126>that also works for heavier mice...a lighter mouse is faster to moveyou get used to both but in the end the heavier mouse is just worse>>721809195>Just how weak are you?just how insecure are you that you think the weight of your mouse is some weird virtue signal of your masculinity?you get strong by lifting weights at least 200x heavier than a mouse, this isn't a flex
>>721805701This retard thinks its the special mouse that makes makes autists good at esports and not autism.
>>721809929>just how insecure are you that you think the weight of your mouse is some weird virtue signal of your masculinity?Who said anything about masculinity? A woman can game all day with a normal mouse. It has nothing to do with masculinity.I am asking, how weak are you that you think it's cumbersome to play video games using a normal mouse?
G402, I love this thing peak mouse, cheap af as well
>>721804929whats the problem?
I kind of want to get a new mouse, at least one with side buttons to make them do some text commands easier where I can use my thumb instead of wearing out my left hand for copy and pasting, but I hate the prices. All of the ones at best buy are 100+. A mouse doesn't need to be expensive.
>>721805043Keyboard and mouse are strictly for navigating my living room desktop, so latency is negligible. I play my games with a wired controller.
>>721811475>ALL PROGRESS SHOULD STOP BECAUSE THINGS ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MElighter mouse = bettercope, cry, do whatever else you want, you're a retarded solipsistagain, if you think that wanting a lighter mouse is a sign of weakness then a heavier mouse is a sign of strength because there's no fucking benefit to it, follow your damn logicyou expend more energy for the same travel distance and a lighter mouse allows for more precision due to lower inertia
>>721805403everything is a problem if you sell it to someone as a problem and then sell them a solutionmost people don't "need" any of this stuff until they're told they're gonna suffer without it, even if they never did>ugh, using a mouse with a cord? don't you know it gets tangled in stuff and chokes your nutsack?>no? literally never happened to me>it will!>oh fuck, really? gotta buy a cordless mouse!
actual best logitech mouse coming through, just replace the switches and you're set for life
>>721804929Buy literally anything other than logtiech. Why the hell would you buy anything from that piece of shit company when their last good mouse was the mx518, the g502 is incredibly uncomfortable which you'll notice yourself if you ever try using any other mouse.
>>721808240The weights were always idiotic. Acceleration is force over mass and you want your mouse to move and stop as fast as possible.
I think anons are forgetting the elephant in the room (mouse pads) and the fact these only matter for god aimers
>ask about mouse>what about this other thing?>why is no one paying attention to me
The whole thing is stupid. The "good" gamers all use aimbots, the mouse doesn't matter. It's just a fairy tale told to gullible children to swindle them out of their money.

>>721813639Mousepads is where I start to sound like the rest of the bitter old fucks in this thread because I've been using mine for like 15 years, to the point where I'm pretty sure the company that made them went out of business.
Take the chinkpill. You can get a mouse that's comparable to the Logitech G Pro for a third of the price. They also use web drivers so you can configure it on Linux
>>721814406web software is the standard among the high end mice with flagship sensors nowadaysonly the goy brands still go for proprietary windows shit
>>721814348I consider doing this instead.>Die in a game>Do 5 BurpeesI will either git gud or get ripped

>>721814348you're not burning much on dragging 100 extra grams across a surface
>>721814514>web software is the standard among the high end mice with flagship sensors nowadaysOnly for chink mice. Western piggu brands are still obligated to lock you into the Windows botnet
>>721806969my previous mouse was g502, and the metal wheel there was *heavy*, like, i felt the weight when it was spinning freely. Now ive got g502x, and the wheel there *looks* metallic, but it feels too light. its either aluminum or some other light material, or just colored plastic. and i honestly dont care which one, the thing it, its really light now
>>721813983I can't imagine being at this level of cynicism. Why do you even play video games? Fuck off.
>>721815120I see, so you feel personally attacked because you bought an expensive light weight mouse and now you got to defend your purchase. Hmm well, sucks to suck I guess. Most people are retarded, so your not alone. Hope this helps.
>>721805094george foreman curse, make the product too good and the customers never need to come back or when they do you've gone out of business because everyone who was gonna buy one already did and they wont be back for years so now you gotta sell something else

>>721815560G502s were always super fragile though. I think the main reason why everyone used to be able to recommend Logitech is that they'd replace shit for free with no questions asked.

>>721805009fpbp if you will permit meIt sits on your desk... I can't imagine why i would want to deal with the shit of charging my fucking mouse and presumably keyboard every day, I got enough pointless shit to deal with like empying the dishwasher fuck i hate emptying the dishwasherlet the mouse at least just be a fucking mouse without having to be a mouse that runs out of batteryimage attached for your consideration
>>721816360wireless charging is a thingalso you can sit where and how you like without wires, bonus points for one of those mice with the thumb ball instead of an optical sensor so you dont even need any kind of surface to use it
>>721816360>every dayyou plug it in once a week before you go to bedalso funny how wired people complain about wireless shit having to become wired for a short period like that's a downside
>>721805009>>721816360It's simple planned obsolescence. They know the battery life will deteriorate, so even if the build quality holds up you will inevitably get a replacement mouse within a few years.
is the g203 worth it for someone who doesn't care about mouse autism and just wants a mouse with 6 buttons and a scroll wheel that won't go loose in a year?
>>721816524>>721816694say that to me after 800 charging cycles
Here's the blackpill.Mouse aiming is a neuro heavy skill. It is completely in the brain. You will learn to handle your mouse as more pathways are developed.I am saying this because if you think 60-50g will make difference it won't. Don't waste your money, you are too much of a shitter to worry about it yet. Making sure your brain (your main aiming instrument is your brain not arm or mouse) is not tired will make the major difference. And grinding as much as your brain can handle before it starts to get tired.Don't let your epic frags in old games fool you. You were merely a big fish in a small pond. You are not good as you think.
>>721816875There's no such thing as a reliable mouse. If you don't care about the autism, just get the shape you like.
>>721816973i dont have a wireless mouse yet because my 502 still works fineupgraded to wireless headphones like ten fifteen years ago and the freedom of movement is so worth recharging and at one point replacing because the faux-leather shit fell apart

>>721817461your hand*
>>721817461I do wonder if in the future everyone will play with EMG bands or something and instead of moving anything physically, it's just reading your nerve impulses. Since they're already going that route with VR glasses.
>>721817461>>721817710just a matter of figuring out how to make the neurolink not require literal brain surgery and interfaces will be almost exclusively visual
>>721817461if you are going to start to make excuses at least complain about reaction speed, input delaythe mouse in op's image is 120g which by no means is a brick anons make it out to beif you can't do basically anything with that you are a shitter who needs to train, lighter mouse won't save youplain and simple
>>721805009Modern wireless solutions have less latency than a USB cable, a PS/2 based mouse maybe would still win out but fat chance you are using one of those.
>>721818534Modern USB polling is faster than the old interrupt queue that PS/2 used so no winners there either.
