After taking a lil look in the ye olde configs I found a variable for the tornado spawn distance. Look's like it is set at 30. Since the biggest complaint about the tornado's was how close they spawned I have upped that to 45. Perhaps this will be better?

You know, the amount of statuses your stamina bar can have caps out at 200%. Theoretically, if your stamina bar reached 100% because of something like tired or cold and it was going to cause you to take a lethal fall, you could eat something incinerated to gain an insane amount of poison to avoid HP damage, and then if someone could pick you up they'd just have to carry you and wait for your poison and other temp status to wear off.Actually finding a chance to do this in a real game sounds contrived as fuck but it's fun to think about.

Note that I ate two very cooked coconut halves, so you can fill out the bar. If we can find out exactly how many times you need to cook something like trail mix to poison you enough to protect from fall damage it is not that bad of an idea. You would need to coordinate with your teammates ahead of time so they know that they can just carry you for a while and you will eventually be fine. They might be more likely to leave you if they think you took a ton of health damage.

Fun fact about thick mints, you can eat them 3 times and it is only the 4th one that applies poison damage. Just learnt that . Also looking at the mushroom cluster that does 40 poison outright. That means the maximum amount of poison you can get from one piece of food is 160. Meaning that 40 of your bar still still be health damage. Unfortunately, this is still beaten by a single balloon capping your fall damage (I think) and two balloons outright negating it. I think if you are falling just activating a single balloon would be better since you can recover once you are down.
