I've added three /v/ posters over the past like three years. None of them from these threads. The first one was one of those "jk... unless?" kind of faggots and I genuinely got sick of him and ended up ghosting him. We did play vidya and chat in VC regularly but he almost exclusively played reddit games like Deeprock and Risk of Rain. The second one was a bit more normal but also somehow incredibly more annoying. He'd constantly bug me over whatever thought came across his head. Funnily enough, he had much better taste in vidya. We played a bit of Helldivers 2 and Ready or Not. Then one day all of a sudden he just stops talking to me. We're still friends on Steam and discord, we just never play anymore for whatever reason. The third is much more chill and normalfag-y than the others. Pretty chill and down to earth guy. We talk like once a week at least. Really like the dude. The problem is we literally have never played anything together. Not once. He added me on Steam and we're still friends, but we literally have never played.
