I'm having a grand old time in Nod-Krai.A lot of the hidden world quests are cool and I'm enjoying the actual exploration/discovery a lot more than most of the previous regions.Thinking on it a bit, two of the things I really appreciate are:>1) The world quests are immediately interesting. The world quests in Natlan just generally sucked because so many of them were tied to tribes I didn't give a fuck about. A lot of the world quests in Fontaine were neat (the assassins, the Melusine one where you discover an eldritch heart abomination thing, the weird tea party one, etc...) but took a long time to become compelling with you doing a bunch of banal stuff first. The WQ in Nod-Krai are pretty much immediately interesting or feel like real adventures rather than errands for the first 10-15 minutes before becoming interesting for the last 10.>2) The environment feels like an active hinderance.The big Fatui base, various hidden underground caves, lightning storms, and so on make Nod-Krai feel dangerous. Natlan never felt dangerous outside a few underground magma areas and most of Fontaine felt the same way. The Sumeru desert and the extra islands in Inazuma (Silent Hill island, the lightning island) were the last time I remember really feeling like the environment itself was a major obstacle to be overcome.AQ was interesting too I suppose. It was neat gathering information and having a more diplomatic presence. Definitely an improvement over Natlan but not especially better than Fontaine or Sumeru other than the pacing.

They just need to aesthetically feel like they are dangerous or challenging to traverse. I never felt that in Natlan (outside of the Abyss sections in AQs and that one dragon graveyard area) but did in other regions.

There were a lot of puzzles I remember not really engaging with because I already had a character who sidestepped the entire thing.I think Sumeru (sand) had my favorite 'puzzles' in trying to find and solve all of the underground tombs and max out my tomb-raider level or whatever it was called. I also really liked Inazuma, in particular the cubes that rotated (hated the cannon ones).

Sandrone tries to kidnap Curve from Aino but gets caught red handed by her and Traveler, she right away reveals she was created by Alain but before dying he couldn't finish the perfect autonomous AI brain so she took his notes from his lab and took it as a mission to complete his work, so the reason she needs Curve's core is to investigate Mosso's method why his brain is so advanced. Aino tells her the core is too damaged anywas so her efforts are futile but Sandy says that there is still a method to retrieve the encrypted data, by connecting another robot to the core to retrieve it manually(or digitally). Aino is distrustfull so she agrees to let her get in as long as Ineffa comes with her for insurence. Sandrone warns her that if they get damaged inside the core Ineffa will get damaged in real life. Aino agrees and plugs in Sandy, Ineffa and Pulonia to Curve's core and we enter the domain stage(like any other character quest) only playing those two..1/2
