This helps to force people to hopefully come up with meaningful text instead of a simple number and equivalently to have to put effort in to engage with the review. You very well can't just deny people the ability to criticize a game and AI would create false positives and cause the score to be just as unreliable. Maybe some sort of system that detects your preferred platform so that reviewers on different platforms can be filtered out of score results? That's not perfect either though.
