It's funny how Kratos and Asura origin stories are almost carbon copies except Asura isn't a complete shitstain of a person and is actually a good person. Even their journeys are similar as both are humbled in the middle of it and "killed".The main difference is that Kratos is a piece of shit everyone hates, causes the gods to become evil by opening the Pandora's Box and his redemption is his family telling him he's actually a good boy and some BS about Kratos forgiving himself and wielding the power of Hope to kill Zeus and then himself. GoW verse is weak shit and Kratos is about as powerful as the games depict him. There was one guy at Santa Monica who said that Kratos scales to actual mythology the games are based on and games are limited by gameplay and can't show the extent of Kratos's strength. This was written in response to seththeprogrammer asking about it but the tweet was deleted ages ago and other people at Santa Monica have since clarified Kratos is as strong as shown in the games and they dismiss the idea of lore scaling.The claims about multiversal+ Kratos are bullshit chain scaling based on some statements outside the games and official supplementary materials or wildly out of context literal interpretations of fluff.
