I love worlds that feel like you're a tiny little flea crawling through an infinitely large and complex machine or city, what games feel like that?
>>721989843stellar blade
>>721989843You will be begging for fast travel a few hours in and you know it.
Lorn's lure. This is the best answer you will get in this thread. Fags seethe
>>721989843there isn't anyI understand what you meanto recreate that feeling, it requires a specific camera angle that most games don't supportI think shadow of the colossus gets you the closest, but the focus isn't on the "world" or environmentmost game designers are useless nowadays, they can only copy
>>721989843Necromunda Hired Gun
Naissancee
>>721989843I read the main blame series through to the end and liked it, but killy is hands down the worst manga protagonist in any manga, maybe any piece of media I've consumed.
You kind of have to buy into the smoke and mirrors but if you do, it's great
>>721990081Zoom zoom
de_rats
>>721989843Thief Gold, look no further.Portal 2 maybe.Parts of Amnesia Rebirth and SOMA made me feel that way.
>>721989843NaissanceE is exactly what you're looking for. It's so good holy shit. You need to check it out.
>>721991239This
>>721989843Bleak faith: forsaken gets you that feel. It's a pretty decent soulsclone. Really eerie and cool atmosphere as you're running around exploring a giant megastructure.
>>721989843AC6
In retrospect, Safeguard Cibo didn't need to melt Killy into liquid hot magma after stopping Davine Lu Linvega from accessing the net did she?
>>721989843Arches are pure sex
>>721990954Their last good game, what a shame.Needs a proper remake.
>>721989843Dolls' Nest>but I don't want to play as a lolifuck you that's the best part
>>721991245Some custom levels absolutely fit the bill, huge ass intricte city levels that will take you literl hours to beat(if you actually sneak that is)
i wish to bein FFT
>>721989843I haven't played it yet but I bought Bleak Faith earlier this year on the promise of it being Blame! Souls w/Not-Seu as the protag.
>>721994145Its more like you play a basic bitch safeguard that gits gud.
>>721994543That's fine too
If destiny raids were able to be played and explored solo..I'd say those. You need a guide to find the right way to go to the next encounter. There's some crazy obscure entrances you need to do a bunch of weird things just to get through..
>>721989843Rain World, fucking cock sucker.
>>721989843Dolls Nest is the best you'll get despite all of the jank if you're really jonesing for that Blame shit.
>>721989843The forever winter
>>721989843where you can see the bottom of the sky box.
>>721995147People really are sleeping on the game.
>>721989843I love that too, OP>Rain World>The Last Guardian these are the cream of the crop for this imo. rain world is especially impressive in this regard because it manages to achieve this in 2d

Oni has that vibe in certain levels
The Homeworld series scales it up with megaliths.
>>721996512How long is this?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1417930/Lorns_Lure/haven't bought this yet but the mega structure vibes were one of the reasons i wishlisted it
>>721989843Planescape Torment has that vibe for me.I mean its not actually that big, but its easy to perceive it that way
>>721996885People say like 4 hours.
>>721996946https://store.steampowered.com/app/250680/BELOW/another one I wishlisted for that reason
Peripeteia is really cool, it's EA but being done level by level, there are 4 or 5 now. Cyberpunk anime stalking through giant empty cities, bleak post-Soviet Eastern European mindsets, unironic space communists. The entire game you're basically just a bug.
>>721990681Lack of controller support filtered me hard, I do not play on keyboard for any game and it's like learning a second language, greatly detracting from my experience.
>>721990681I hated this and dropped it after 40 minutes or so
>>721997297The shilling campaign guaranteed is never play trannypetia
>>721990681loved it. I like how you can sometimes wander pretty far from the intended route, it really sells the feeling of loneliness and of being lost in a mysterious super-structure. I wonder why it didn't catch on with zoomers during the "liminal" fad, NaissanceE unintentionally did that atmosphere better than any of the games that were born during that time
>>721990954I couldn't pass the first area. Those goblins always killed me and I raguequit. And no, making bread did not help me.
Does anyone remember the name of the guy that made the Blame! like source maps?
>>721996946I liked it but I'm into first person platformers, it's pretty neat although I wish there was more to it exploration-wise. Its focus is more on the challenging platforming>>721993893any recs for Thief levels like that?
>>721998010that's weird, it played on controller just fine for me
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3223390/BLACKSHARD/
>>721990803Filtered. He's a "literally me" character
>>721997297Chibi bullshit in the left corner of your screen and implants tab ruins the whole game for me. It's insane how much of an immersion breaker such little details can be. I've learned to appreciate its weird art style, but unless the dev cuts out the extremely out of place UI elements (doubt it), all the efforts to create an immersive atmosphere go down the drain.
>>721997297>anime protag>dnbyou just know immediately that this game is gonna feature sexualized fetish violence and was made by a trans person
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJt28FahBds
>>721993712You're either confusing different developers or have a terrible taste.
>>722000631Uh no, he's literally me, not literally you.
>>721998646The game lacked a critical component, a jpg with a scare Obama or something. That's what gets the zoomer sales.
>>721989843G-String
>>722001757I've been waiting for this to go on sale forever. I think the dev is dead.
>>722002621I bought the game a year ago and it crashed during the intro cutscene. A couple of days later dev announced they'll be releasing an improved version in the future, so now I just wait.
>>722002923So long as 'improved' doesn't mean 'ported to UE5'.
>>721998010lol
