The kanji in the game is so basic and beginner level, you're better off just going through the N5 kanji list. It's pretty autistic but I'll sit there imagining that the guys who do construction are pissed off because I keep redirecting all the steel to bullet production so they can't keep up with the demand for batteries. I eat that stuff up. For me a lot of it is about the setting. I think it's really neat and it's open enough to allow for a lot of interesting ideas from a storytelling perspective. The scale of it is great too. By the time I usually get to endgame I've got access to some ridiculously powerful stuff. But then it hits you that you're basically just a warlord in an area the size of a small country, on a backwater planet nobody gives a shit about. Reminds me of a lot of other settings I loved I guess. Stuff like Firefly
