I'll also say just hating something for being a remake is totally acceptable to me though it's not the reason I don't like this remake.

I was dumb founded with the pointless detour the add at the start before James gets to town and while that's a minor change it's emblematic of the entire game to me. So it drags horribly despite being not that long in the grand scheme of things, 15 hours is still basically twice as long as the original. Don't forget the repetitive combat making this feel even worse, to me at least.

I've played both games plenty and think they're mediocre. The original SH2 is one of the best games of all time, and it basically copied Lynch's Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, and Twin Peaks.
