I loved bomberman as a kid, probably one of my most played games, but how do I put it nicely, it's not the kind of game that is going to be anyone's top 5, the stories and setting are whatever, not the focus obviously, you got some charming visuals, but nothing groundbreaking or breathtaking, the gameplay is not that deep also, it's just a really fun party game with a decent campaign at the end of the day.It's not the kind of game that you can ask premium value for, because it isn't that.What I would do is release a game with cute 2.5D style graphics and just pack it full of content and customization, take a clue from Mario Maker, people love to make and share their stuff, levels both for battle and normal play should be possible to be created and shared.Good online support is a must, both player hosted servers and quick play with queuing should be available, have ALL the characters, ALL the itens and ALL the stages from previous games available as options, go full on the fanservice and ask for 50$, there, you get a hit.

There's no saving it. I just wish they released a collection of sorts. Like maybe Volume 1 with the SNES games, Volume 2 with the PS/Saturn ones and Volume 3 with the weird arcade games.
