Meteorite and the more advanced glintstone spells can chip away health easily with more space to roll and evade.

If you use magic in any souls game on your first run, you are trivialising the game. Don't even have to learn attack patterns of mobs. Magic is op in every souls game, but since elden ring is the easiest anyways you're like doubling down on easy mode.

Elden ring sucks ass the rollslop series was meant to be linear. Only tried several bosses on different characters the game doesnt really impress me its like a shitty MMO type feel.

>>722071957Nah, people meme on the big brain INT caster in this game, but aside from Mogh and any boss that slow walks at you it doesn't usually hit. Most every enemy in the game, even a lot of basic mobs, are programmed to immediatly do a side dash the second you do the cast animation, and can cancel out of shit to do it. This leads to you doing the big Azur build up, and then they simply move to the left then run at you. Most fights will be throwing rocks at people till they die or summoning delayed swords to get around the auto dodge mechanic. Really the only positive I have for the INT build is once I freed myself of the katana crutch, the Wing of Astel became one of my favorite weapons in game.

After watching my friend play an INT build, yeah I definitely agree. I'm over here dodging and running and managing space and enemy combos, and then I watch him play and he's just standing back pressing R1 to win. The thing is, it kind of also starting to be like that with melee too in ER. You basically find a couple of extremely powerful and busted ash of war, and your melee weapon is basically casting a "spell" and you just rely on that even as a "melee" (but youre limited to one ash of war per weapon instead of being able to equip multiple spells that are easy to cycle through). It's part of why the enemies are so overtuned and can so easily gank you--if they didn't everyone would just steam roll the entire game regardless if you are melee or magic.
