Uninteresting locations, even easier than the previous games, the 2D sections are too basic, the overworld exploration is gimped because Bowser can't even jump, the pacing is extremely lopsided with Bowser being frontloaded and the bros backloaded except there's almost nothing to do for them once they finally get out of Bowser's body, excuse plot that just meanders with random bullshit until it decides to rip Superstar Saga off for the endgame, giant battles barely count as a battle system and are more like setpieces that can only be done one way... And some of these are issues people complain about for Dream Team but ignore in Bowser's Inside Story despite them starting there.
I enjoyed Superstar, Partners In Time and Inside Story. They're all good games and all have their own special feeling.
