I'm here to watch you DON'T BUY any game
I need a classic game that will run on a potato but did not release in the CRT era.
Good morning sir
Updated my cart. R8 pls. Anything I should drop? Anything you highly recommend?
I dunno I might buy Wani hug that gator
Lois unironically needed to be hit more often whenever she started her shit.
With the money I have I could buy 5 games from my wishlist, or just Elin, what do I buy?
>>722105401Is that >Start the craaaaanescene?
just got this so far. not a lot on offer this sale, i have >100 games on my wishlist and basically none of them have a decent discount
I bougheted all Dark Souls
I boughted supreme commander forged alliance a couple of three hours ago. I'm going to have a snooze now and then play it later today when I wake up. I hope it's good. Thanks for asking.
Should I?
true, doubt I'll buy anything but some DLC
>>722105917This, and the series finale cemented her as one of the worst, most awful, cunt mothers in media. Pure slime. You don't get worse than her.
Tempted to get new game. I always fall back to my old, trusted shit games

Anon last thread confirmed that Loop Hero is worth 3 bucks, so that's locked inHonestly I'm sure there's some other smaller 5ish bucks games out there that are REALLY worth that amount but i can't find any more (like Banner of the Maid)I also would REALLY like to play Great Villainess but 20% off on a 25 bucks game is simply too low for now; hopefully by xmas it'll be down to 15ish bucks>>722108257A friend of mine who's really into Talos also swears by The Witness and QUBE, but don't take my word for it
does this game work well torrented

Thoughts on BeamNG.drive?
is civ worth buying or getting into?
Any good roguelikes/roguelites for someone who hasn't played the genre very much?
>>722108257AntichamberPortal is kinda obvious, but there are big fan expansions to check out.Witness is good, but the yapping isn't as interesting. Similar in that there are a bunch of areas to roam and solve, but there are more moments that demand a conceptual breakthrough, rather than step by step untangling. Not spacial puzzles, but I feel like Golden Idol games have the same comfortable feeling of simplifying and clearing up the task one step at a time.
>>722108980It is fun but it is def not a good game basically if you have weird fascination with making your own car crash scenarios buy it if not NAHH>>722108995Never played any civ game but i heard that (i think) 4th one was best one
Are either of these worth it?
Does Dungeons of Hinterberg get preachy with its tourism/anti-tourism messaging?
After a lot of thought I think I'm going to go with these.
>>722109398Might as well get Hades since it's currently the cheapest it's ever been
>>722109419RS2 is very good, but you might want to try the demo first
>>722105401Curator for games under £4/$5/€5 on a good sale.https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45021728/>>722108995I think so. Well worth trying the series. People often discuss which one is best to srart with or which is the best. Many people like Civ 5, but I've only played Civ 6 and I thought it was pretty good. Get the Rise & Fall + Gathering Storm expansions, they add new systems, great fun.
I already have it, but desperados 3 is in deep discount and it is pretty good
>>722109419get the original romancing saga 2, the remake looks (sort of) pretty but has basically 0 to make it worth the extra money.
>>722109741> Doesn't know CIV 4 and 5 perfected the formula. You are not playing Civilizations, you are playing paradox-like cuckoldry simulator.
>>722108995Everyone will say a different civ is the best one. Generally Civ 4 or Civ 5 are considered the best but some people will say Civ 6. Definitely not Civ 7 though. They added a bunch of joke leaders and you are forced to swap civilizations as you advance.
>>722108784>in order of release datethat's a weird way to approach games, you gonna write a dissertation about them or what?In terms of how approachable those are, Deus Ex is the easiest to get into. SS2 is about the same as DX, an overall better game than SS. Can be played stand-alone no problem. SS has the initial hurdle with controls, but after that you are zooming down corridors and melting faces. Thief is easy enough to control and understand, but you have to endure the bumbling AI and ambitions of a combat engine, not everyone has patience for that. Oled or CRT recommended for that one.
>>722108784in order of release date obviously
>>722109658>zombiowareew

>>722108426I boughteding these games, although I removed bloodstained and will probably remove the natsume games

Is Death Note Killer Within worth it?
Thinking about getting these. Does anyone have any recommendation for sort of horror-adjacent games? I'd like either investigation-type games with a spooky theme or stuff like The Quarry which are more campy and cheesy than outright horror.>>722109419I pirated GoA and played a bit of it. I wasn't impressed by the combat, which my understanding is the main draw. Have you already played RF3/4?
>>7221089955 and 6 are great in their own ways. 4 is also great, but is showing its age a bit graphically, but if that doesn't put you off it's equal to the other two. 7 is a clusterfuck and probably unfixable don't even bother.
>>722110676>removed bloodstainedelaborate?
>>722111076>edf6I assume you've played others, if not, highly recommend 5+dlc more. 6 just isn't there.
>>722111076>He didnt wait for the Halloween discount on Hotline gameAnon, I hope you will reconsider. Roottrees is great, same is Golden Idol

>>722111281I'm mostly getting 6 because my brother has it and I thought I'd play it with him. Last EDF I played was maybe 4.>>722111362Oh, does it go on a deeper discount? I'm fine waiting.
>>722110961>it's not very goodSo just like the base game
>>722111486I dont know for sure, but I expect it to since it is a spooky game
>>722111438Gameplay wise they're mostly the same. Having said that, I liked 5 more. The Seeds were a lot more interesting than Min or whoever the fuck in 4, and the environment looked a lot better.
>>722111174A stupid person told me it was good and I realized it probably wasn't, and additionally I realized metroidvania fans are largely shit eaters. So I'm gunna play other things instead.
>>722111425It's good, the online rescues are dead, and the newer game is getting support instead.Ironically, the switch and mobile ports for shiren & dice of fate is the most up to date. The newer game has a bit more content.Main question to ask though: do you like mystery dungeon games? Cause they're mystery dungeon games.
>>722111619>bumfuck country town in US>looks better than Nepal mountainsHow is this possible?!
>>722105947Almost certainly Elin
>>722111792I guess it's down to personal preference. 5 felt a lot more varied while 4 was basically just mountains. Which if you like mountains a lot is fine, but I got kinda bored of them after a bit. I haven't played either in a long time though (especially 4) so I could be misremembering.
Bought pic related on steam and armored core and mouthole on xbox which were on sale
>>722112039I was just baiting, I believe you. The variety in the US should be better than just some mountains and villages and maybe a temple or something, and I dont disagree with you
What do you think?
>>722111717>do you like mystery dungeon games?well yeah, i meant more that this is apparently the 4th game in the series
>>722111076I've read that turret girls misleadingly has a single turret girl.>horror-adjacent gamesFinal Station, maybe. The main core of the narrative is the ongoing apocalypse and conspiracies around it, the zombie situation is kind of an incidental detail for the plebs to deal with.Darkest Dungeon isn't exactly scary, but sure has themes.
>>722112098>buying CRITICAL REFLEX gamesoof
>>722105401Sorry Anon

>>722108123its not even fun in co op. theres no reason to do anything at all
>>722108123Not fun solo at all, you get an AI to help remove some of the tedium but you'll probably just end up annoyed at all the bullshit triggers for enemy/boss spawns rather than have fun staking shit out. You have way too much to do as a solo and it never really eases up. There's also a defined ending so you'll always feel like you should just be moving on when you're trying to set up a base too, lots of issues from the first that they never fixed. Looks good and is silly and great with friends though. There's a reason it's so cheap so soon after release.

>>722107382Have you heard of a series called Baldur's Gate?
I hate how they'll never discount any of the dark souls games lower than $20. Also, why is shadow of the erdtree DLC still full price? Been thinking about pulling the trigger on another ER playthrough but not at that price.

>>722113884it's based on the DS version and has been fixed, it was fixed like 5 fucking years ago now when they updated the mobile port.Main reason people say it's bad is because it doesn't have nearly the mod support the snes release does and the "bonus content" isn't very good (plus it doesn't even have the monster battling the DS version does). Just emulate, honestly.

I usually try to buy weird, niche, ecchi-type games to support them, but I'm worried this one isn't going to update beyond this. >>722113395Ape Out is a fun romp.Hotline Miami is the obvious one, now there is also OTXO to check out.Bastion is oldie but goodie.Furi is an exceptional boss rush game.Empty Shell and Subterrain I do NOT recommend. The former is incredibly one-note and has the worst inventory system in existence. The latter one is a bit of fun for the gear treadmill and time management, but ultimately extremely shallow and not scary.
>>722115238It's neat for one playtrough but the game is kinda at odds with its self. It tries to be some sort of cinematic immersive drama with rough choices but also a game build around idea of repeated runs. But there's not enough variety to justify runs and it ruins the immersion when you start clearly seeing narrative tricks by doing the runs.

>>722114819I just finished the Ascent an hour ago. You get a fair bit of variety in your augments and shit like, I'll build this way to spam augments and tactical or this way to just shoot but my only real complaint was I basically stuck with two guns the latter half of the game. Like without dlc your only melee weapon is a baseball bat. That's it. Other than that gripe and like anon said it's a bit repetitive I'd say it's totally worth the price. It's cyberpunk as fuck it's fun to run around and mow niggers down and zip around when you discover you have a dive roll for evasion and the atmosphere is nice. I don't want to spoil anything for you so vague here but you will need an energy weapon fairly early and you want to upgrade it or you may get filtered.

>>722119389Didn't have a great story hook, mediocre puzzles, single character without many abilities or prospects for development or customization. It played like the world's clunkiest FPS. I did bounce early, so maybe there is an early hump to cross, or a go to choice for one of 3 "classes" you pick early on. But with Tower of Mask there is immediately a gripping odd horror tone, meaningfully impactful trophies to equip, and kinetically satisfying melee combat.

"Monster Train" doesn't have the best balance, but it's has some meat to it. I enjoy it. Worth a shot."Blood" is one of the best shooters ever made. "Severed Steel" feels like a 2.50$ game.As a Gungrave fan "Gungrave G.O.R.E" is mad disappointing, it doesn't feel like it has love and care in it like the other games. Had a lot of fun with it tho, but couldn't put myself through getting s-ranks, hated the levels too much. Maybe try the other gungrave games through emulation instead of G.O.R.E?Speaking of emulation, you can emulate "Cold Fear", "Second Sight" pretty easily. >>722111076I can only speak on Asterigos, I played about half of it and then put it down. It was interesting at first but quickly becomes repetitive and boring. Also it has random hidden deadlines for specific quests and expects you to randomly turn around and run all the way back through a long ass level to give a quest item to an NPC before fighting the boss that's right in front of you.

>>722123381Looks good, as for tactical RPG's have a look at Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children, it's basically Korean anime Xcom with a boatload of content.
>>722122604Both are decently approachable and do environmental effect combos thing. Both really start to sag in the second half, especially DOS with it's turn-based combat and lightweight storytelling. DOS has a bit of humor at first, but overall the story and characters are bland, DAO is a clear winner here.DOS has much more interactive environments. DAO has obtuse skill descriptions that make it hard to make sound choices, though shouldn't matter too much on normal difficulty.Of the two, I'd go with Dragon Age, but with reservations. Original Sin stories are stand alone, so you can freely skip to 2. I haven't played it myself, supposedly there are improvements.Outside of those, I think Star Wars KotOR is a very simple and appealing choice. Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty simple games when it comes down to it, if you are worried you can look up a character creation guide, but you should be able to manage with premade characters.Wasteland 2 is very straightforward if you are familiar with XCOM and the like.
>>722123005Oh yes, a whole creation myth to uncover.
>>722115354I surprisingly enjoy Atlyss but the dev is questionable. The platforming and combat is fun. I do feel the world exploration is lacking a bit though.
>>722119389I tried Vaporum recently and the movement felt clunky, there is some sort of subtle pause when moving (there is an option regarding that but both on and off felt bad). The tile dancing feels way more pleasant and natural in Grimrock 1 and 2. Single character is also lame. Besides the movement, another reason for me to drop Vaporum early was just playing enough LoG 2 mods to be burnt out on tile dancing combat, which was always been just passable. Having said all that, I do imagine Vaporum is an alright game, at least the core concepts and itemization I was exposed to gave me that impression.

>>722126474Yeah, I remember reading about how the 2nd game is a mess with the updates, apparently changing some important things quite often and unsure of what it wants to be.
This is my cart's final form.
>Doom Eternal 3.99>check store page>DLC: 17.99Fuck off>it's cheaper to buy the base game and click on the individual season pass in the bundle for the 2 DLCs than it is to buy the whole bundle which includes which includes the season pass as well as the 2 DLC which the season pass is forWhat the fuck is this shit?
>>722105401I like how the cast and crew always go out of their way to say great things about her and how phenomenal an actress she is and yet she was never in anything else of note again. why is that?
>>722126658I platinumed Toem when it was >free on ps+. I can't remember a thing about it other than there's a camera.
>>722126665After playing the base game, you won't want to play the DLC anyway
>>722126665>base game & dlc would be cheaper bundled>retarded soundtrack and artbook dlc inflates the pricelike fuck off
>>722126665I got a free month of goypass because I bought a new MSI laptop and I was thinking of playing Doom Eternal. Does M$ include the DLC in goypass or do they Jew you on that there too?
>>722126389All of it, you need a slap so you can wake up and stop playing garbage
Is AI: The Somnium Files are proper detective game or just kind of anime bullshit?
>>722115853I think you're confusing this with another game. This one has pokemon battles.
>>722126907Expedition 33 and all the Witcher games are good.
The deep discount section they're doing has been good until now. Last three was great, this one is mid and kind of empty.
>>722105401TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL TOO SICK FOR GAMES
Picked up these three; didn't see any good metroidvanias on sale that I didn't already have.
>>722126936The first one is good and the anime is at a good level. The second one just jumps the shark.
>>722127081Post 5 seconds of thrilling witcher gameplay
>>722105401Anons, don't consoom. You already have a backlog to play through.
>>722126936Leaning towards anime bullshit. If you played Zero Escape, then this is a similar idea (solving puzzles inside rooms) in less serious setting. There's an overarching mystery, but you don't really solve it, characters do. You're basically reading a VN between puzzle sections with 3-4 major choice points which lead you to one of the endings (you need all of them to get the true one). There's a lot of slapstick comedy in character dialogues too.
>>722127275RPGs don't need to have thrilling gameplay.
Was she a bad mom or did I just get filtered by the ending?
i randomly played stardew recently, which is was not my type of game at all, but i enjoyed it, is there any hidden kino farming games?
>>722125539The game is a 2D action platformer with a small 3D town with cool visuals. tl;dr it's a pretty decent game but the visuals are really the best thing about it.The combat is cool but a bit janky and simple, the story is also very simple but enjoyable thanks to the characters, sometimes you find a new feature but it ends up being just flavor (you can change outfits but you will automatically use the combat suit in hostile zones, you can find videos but it's only a handful of them and only one of them have hot 2D girls in them, etc.), and it's a bit short overall (finished it in 17h, all quests and optional content completed, except the bad ending).>mixed thoughts Some people expected it to be a big 2D Cyberpunk 2077 because of the visuals but unfortunately the game won't give you that. I heard v1.0 was quite buggy but I got the game after all the post-release updates and my experience was fine overall.
>>722127545Friends of Mineral TownNo, it's not on Steam, but the OG is free.
I think I put together the perfect animeslop cart!
>>722127634as I said before on another of these threads, Octopath traveller has a issue if you have more than 1 monitor it changes to the first one and not the main

>>722127631FoMT is on Steam.
>>722127634Based cart. consider Witchspring R also
>>722121235>debitno credit card?

>>722127892Holy fuck when did that happen? Regardless, still free.
>>722121235If you're in burgerland every CVS sells Steam gift cards. I use them even though I have a million cards just because I don't like to put my credit/debit cards on the internet ever since non-whites/Japanese were allowed to use it.
Should I pull the trigger? What am I missing?
How are Octopath Traveler 1 and 2? I'm not going to buy them because they're both on goypass but I might play them.
>>722105401So like, why was she like this the whole fucking series?
>>722128293not really. poorly optimized, but the building system is cool (at first anyway)
>>722106228Enjoy anon;)
>want to play it takes two>wife won't play vidya>tfw no friends:(
>>722128527Tower Hunter is extremely short and very unpolished, but it features a blonde anime girl with a katana and an unlockable goth dress, so I guess it's fine for that price.
>>722127545Stardew did it all first and all the others like Sunhaven are clones
Narrowing it down
>>722128973Same. I tried to get my friend to play A Way Out with me but all he wants to play is roguelikes and battle royales.

>>722129454drop kcd2, it shits all over everything that made the first one good and at this rate should be getting much better discounts in the near future
>>722129392Why are you playing asscreed and kotor? How deeply infected are people that they still have some nostalgia for star wars, the time to move on from this IP has long passed
>>722107862Seems ok.
>>722129662>at this rateIt's universally beloved, sorry your right wing grifters lied to you
>>722129670I got kotor too, I want to reconnect with my faded memories of that game, can barely remember it
>>722129392>knights of the old republic 2I prefer Kotor 1 but 2 is fine too, just remember to install the community patches (check the game's article on PCGamingWiki).
>>722121969Other old games that could rival it are Master of Orion 2 and Master of Magic (with mods for AI)If you want something more recent Endless Space 2 is okish modern rival.
>>722129392Alan Wakes and Fight Knight are WsIdk about the other 3
>>722129279im an open world craft slop enjoyer, and yes it is really cool. singe player feels a lot less lonely than games like conan exiles since your tribesmen are free to go about their daily routines and not attached to benches, and you can have them follow you around when you need help killing shit. late game it gets pretty grindy, but its genuinely good and they keep making updates for it, so id recommend
>>722129756Depressed consoomer here. Why do I do this to myselfI havent finished a game in 5 years

>>722129454Sakuna I feel is overhyped. The combat feels very mediocre and the farming is autistic.
>>722129227Good list
>>722129892The pointYour head
>>722128562Good for what they are, which is SE's side projects. Gameplay is similar to Bravely Default (turn-based, class customization, etc.) but you can also fuck around with character abilities in towns which is is pretty fun. Graphics are a bit rough (first Octopath is literally the first implementation of HD-2D, so the lighting is kind of fucked there) but the sprites are nice. Story, or rather stories (as every character has their own story) are hit or miss. Octopath 2 is significantly better than the first one if only thanks to side stories that bring the characters together. Granted, I played both on Switch so no idea how's the PC port.

>>722129853I dont want to feel alone, is there an online mode?
>>722130186Should I play 1 first for story reasons or does it not matter?I have Bravely Default on 3ds but I dropped it after maybe 5 hours. I enjoyed it enough but I think I would have stuck with it had it been on a regular console. Holding the 3ds for 40-50 hrs at my age I just don't think I can do it anymore.
I already own every good game on Steam and I only have a library of ~100 games, and I've played most of them to the point of never wanting to play them ever again.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HulO5oR4SaUPlay my free browser crime sandbox instead of wasting money on games you don't need. Especially if money is tight whatsoever, video game purchases are usually not the smart option and unless there's a game you've been really excited for I don't think most purchases can be justified. I'd much rather see money going towards cost of living or putting money into a project/business or taking guitar lessons or literally anything other than throwing money towards the endless stream of shit games.
>>722130406yeah theres servers, and you can host online co-op on your local save
>>722130296My local used vidya store has a sealed copy of Fable Anniversary. I kind of want it but I'd also probably open it like a retard. How much is it on sale now? I already turned of my computer.

>>722123381I like Raging Loop. Just make sure you do the extra stuff that gets unlocked after you finish the main story. Most people find the ending disappointing without it.
>>7221304191 and 2 are loosely connected: there are certain terms both games use and one of the bosses from 1 reappears in 2 as optional boss. I think that's it. You can start with 2.

Anything I should add? I'll happily play a shit game if its got a cool atmosphere and stuff
I need a list of games that run at 60 fps on the rog ally xbox x but not on steam deck.
>>722131651If you're looking for a shit game with cool atmosphere, look up Lust for Darkness. That game was so ass but its environmental artist carried it hard.
>>722131732Please tell me you didn't get scammed into that.
>>722131651I love Prey. I bought a used Xbone copy at my local used vidya store and it was the best $4 I've spent in a long time.
>>722131404kingdom come is the most onions, then farcry. getting rid of those would be a good start
>>722131794I make $300 an hour. If I don’t like it, I will just give it to my son or nephew. I know of Arkham Knight. Anything else running better on the ally than the deck?
Is Hades pretty fun? I cut it from the list since I only played Bastion by them and that was like 12 years ago or something
>>722132093I make a lot of money too, it's not about that. The point is you shouldn't be rewarding Microsoft (of Asus, for that matter) for how Jewish they've been lately.
>>722132142Yeah hades is really fun. The second one is a bit better than the first but both games are really goos
>>722132142Haven't played any of those but Hades would probably be on my first to play list if those were my options.
>>722132142I just downloaded Hades today but it was from gamepass and I haven't started it yet. Everyone I know who's played it says it's great though. What's the sale price?
>>722132142Naw it's boring but you're buying vampire survivors so the bar is on the floor. I started playing star of providence the other day and it's good, if you're looking for a roguelite.
>>722123735I see, I will probably get DAO then, will look into KotoR a bit too, not too big of a Star Wars fan, but I like some things about it.Thanks for the response.

>>722132601>I will probably get DAO thenDon't do that. It's a literal movie game with "collect 7 boar asses" type quest in between
>>722132717$6 is nothing. If you really want to try it first I think pc gamepass still has that $1 trial for 2 weeks promo thing. Hades is for sure on there.
>>722132717>I figure 3 sheckles is fine to try Vampire Survivor I feelI'm gunna be real with you. It's not worth $3. It's not even a video game. But steam does have a 2 hour refund window.
