A lot of countries have legal slave labor from prisoners, including the United States.

It's probably just saying that "Honurabu Nintendo is not a buraku company"

I'm sure nintendo's games have directly or indirectly resulted in at least thousands of people becoming unemployed, so there's that
>>
Surely the shitposts don't imply that anyone is unaware that there are millions of actual slaves in the world today, right?
Trafficked victims, coerced labor, taking passports from guest workers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, debt peonage in India and China, whatever is happening in Korea and China.

Corporations are more of guilds in my opinion. But employment law actually stems from old Roman law regarding slaves in a few cases. Like if you do something terrible because your employer tells you to do it, and you don't know any better, you're actually not at fault and your employer is, because the laws surrounding date back to Roman times when your slaves (modern employees) had neither rights nor culpability as they were just "tools."

Arent they garnishing a man's wages until he dies?

They don't call them black companies for nothing.

Just like american politics going on a moral crusade against loli after being caught trafficking children

is nintendo preventing people from having a job?
>>
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/csr/pdf/ModernSlaveryTransparencyStatement_en.pdf?250930
tl;dr: Pretty much all tech uses minerals mined in the Congo and a lot of that mining is done by shitty operations involving literal slaves. Nintendo used to not care if they were using conflict minerals, now they’re actually avoiding them.

Why are they so woke?

People can shit on Nintendo all they want, but they do treat their employees well. It's also interesting how normies usually claim to want to support a better work environment but still buy from apple and sony.

>>
>>722119719

>>
>>722119642
People who've worked for Nintendo have describe it as being utterly soulless and that they're amazed anything creative could come from them. Simply not having mass layoffs is a very low bar.
>>
>>722117601
I don't really care. I don't play salary packages. I don't particularly enjoy playing pamphlets of benefit packages or holidays. In fact, some of my favorite games resulted in the deaths or at least involved horrific treatment of the developers. The original X-Com was made with less-than-minimum wage development.

I assume they are extremely desperate to appear human to release something like this.
>>
>>722118053
They're happy to hear about all of that. Wanton cruelty is getting quite normalized, even celebrated in formerly polite society.
>>

>>
Are you all pretending to be retarded or do zoomers not know that slaves literally still exist
>>
>>722117738

When Eleanor Roosevelt visited Soviet gulags, for that one day only, they moved some of the prisoners into rooms with clean beds and gave them real food. That's how every inspection of a Chinese sweatshop goes.

Undercuts actual workers in those industries, undercuts the value of work in general, lowers pressure to innovate, which lets slavery based society fall behind technologically over time.
Some minor ethical concerns as well.

Don't they have a guy indentured for life?
>>
>>722126919
Nah, private companies can't do that. The international tribunal got some guy for that, but that was more them trying to crack down on piracy at the behest of their american masters than trying to do a solid for Nintendo. Poor bastard just got caught up in a PR driven sweep.
I don't feel bad for him because he was given a warning by them to fuck off and he kept on going. Most people don't get a heads up on life ruining legal action and he just ignored it, plain stupid of him.

There's one state that allows forced prison labor, actually, Louisiana. Making it illegal was on the ballot during the 2022 election season and it failed with 61% opposed.

I'd never been more proud to be from this state.

Most states allow it. It's in the US constitution. The vast majority don't do it because people want to work to get out of the dorm, steal shit, or pick up drops.

Voluntary indentured servitude.
>>
>>722129242
All of those are "paid", even if they pay almost nothing, and are optional. Louisiana is currently the only state where they can FORCE you to do things for FREE and you can face consequences if you refuse.

Georgia has what's called the "seven deadly sins" and armed robbery (which I got locked up for in 2009) is one of them. It's non-paroleable (unless you get life, and then you have 30 years before you're eligible) and a 10 year mandatory minimum. My prosecutor sought 20 do 15 (15 plus 5 on probation), and the judge knocked it down to 18 do 13.
>>
>>722129132
Trump would actually be a hero if he outlawed prison labor entirely and returned millions of jobs to the American people.
>>
>>722129783
Were you a 4chan poster before you went to prison?
>>
>>722129753
It's likely foreigners. The left has always been pro-slavery. The way they manipulate black people today and tell them how they should think, talk, act, and vote is telling. They're also anti-tariffs, since that forces companies to stop using 9 year old Vietnamese girls for labor and hire Americans.
>>722129862

>>722121465

at least a slave gets a place to live and free food
>>
>>722133145

The current problem in most countries is the value of money being destroyed by governments. A year after we go back to gold standard everything will be wonderful again.
Of course, this will never happen. Last man who tried to do that go offed by the glowies fast.

Cheap labor means that it's impossible to compete and earn a competitive wage if there are plenty of slaves lined up to do work for free
Slaves in general further bolster the owning class and gets them much further ahead the working class
