Some classes had 2, some had 3 and cleric and wizard had a lot. Classes with 3 subclasses in the PHB got all 3 PHB classes. so Fighters, Rogues, monks,and warlocks just got their 3 phb subclasses. Clerics got their 7 phb subclasses, wizards their 8 phb subclasses, paladins their 3 phb subclasses plus oathbreaker from the DMG which is a gay faggot subclass on a gay faggot class but swen wanted to make a dragonborn paladin the default player origin. classes with 2 PHB subclasses, barbarian, bard, druid, ranger and sorcerer were given their 2 phb subclasses and a third generally from xanathar's guide to everything except barbarian who got their wild heart class from tasha's cauldron of everything. most of the game is based on the 2014 phb with some balance changes they found fun and then they added some sub races and changed racial rules from tasha's which was likely due to hasbro telling them to do it because muh fictional race racism because the 2024 phb does away with racial based stats
