I think the thing I like about the art direction of this series is that it always keeps you on your toes with how weird it can get. It's not like Final Fantasy where you are never surprised when a character is revealed, some of the NPCs in Sengoku look incredibly bizarre in a cool way.

No.Also the scene and others like it don't just come out of left field in a light hearted game. The setting is all kinds of fucked up with a fucked up history, you just don't see most of it because you follow a semi-gag character through his adventures.
How is Evenicle 2? I didn't mind Aster that much but his wholesome good boy persona got a bit boring by the end.
