Despite being an asset flip, I think Burst Renewal is pretty good and underrated all things considered.I like how they did the lighting and color. It looks better than EV. It’s a bit cooler and more muted, but the characters pop out of the environments. EV is all maximum color and sunshine from what I remember.

Intimacy mode in BR that was 'not censored' and on steam version is laughable and still gutted compared to earlier releases. The girls just stand there staring blankly into space, hardly react to touches and have like 2-3 voicelines that repeat. I havent played the older games in awhile but intamacy mode wasnt as wooden and stiff. Felt like it was toned down in its current state, presented to sony and they still rejected it

>>722218261I think that was more likely just because it was an afterthought in Burst ReNewal rather than a preemptive attempt to appease Sony, because Burst ReNewal was in development before Sony implemented their policies, and the western release came just as those policies went into place, there was little if any room for them to plan around them because they didn't exist while the game was being developed.
