Post recs, carts, purchases and whatever you want ITT. Let's discuss the steam sale going on.
Got these, they will keem me occupied for a while, rate
why the fuck resonance of fate doesn't go on a good sale, it's old as fuck, I will pay at most $10 for it
Is the System Shock 2 remaster worth the 25 dolans?

>>722226932I will never understand the point of trailer DLCs for ETS. Maps I get, they're super cool. Even interior clutter for decorfags I can try and understand. But what the fuck do you care about the cargo? 99% of the time you don't even see or care if it's a tractor or a steamroller you're pulling. Why bother?
Any of these worth getting?
>>722227925Yeah, i kinda regret it cause i have countless of cargos from mods. But it is what it is, it didn't cost much. I have all DLC maps btw.
gimme something comfy but not ChoreSlop like Stardew Valley or any of those farming games.Just something to relax and enjoy

>>722228643This, steamies are too retarded to realize gamepass is the best value for gaming.

You don't need too much in Stellaris, Rimworld is the best game of all those you mentioned though but i didn't like the last one that much. All in all i would recommend to get the Roads to Power, Royal Court and tours and tournaments for ck3, Utopia for Stellaris and Biotech and Ideology for Rimworld.
why are indie devs such jews? if your game has been out for a year it should be 50% off, not to mention 2-3+ years.
i have had these on my wishlist since forever, are they worth it for the price?
Wanted to get BL3 with DLC but the fuckers don't have it on sale. So far my cart looks like thisYes I know that BL3's story and dialogue are ass but after BL4 I would like to replay it
>>722229237not a problem with nortubel dev
Now that PC game pass is shitting the bed I think I might pick up the madda cheeb collection for $10. I'll want it eventually and that's many a video game for $10
I know Fatal Fury isn't on sale but super excited that it's released on Steam. Was thinking about the Yakuza series but fuck man isn't so expensive (the whole series).
working on my backlog . about to finish my resist durge playthrough on bg3 then probably start wartales since fft isn't cracked yet
>>722227332Holy fuck no. Original already used a timeless art-style for the environments. It's only characters that look dopey, and they'll continue looking dopey until the whole animation backbone is reworked. The game is excellent, exceptional to this day, and the studio is doing good job with what they are given. But this is primarily a way to have a console version and a playable out the box PC version, with some graphical uplift to sweeten the deal.
>>722226932Saints Row 2 is fucking busted, even with community efforts to patch it up. See if it is even functional and refund if not.
sell me about the witcher franchise

>>722231506It's really good, but there are some parts of the translation that are bad. Has a ton of freedom, recruitable characters, and endings, so the replayability is very high. Is the Homeworld remake still the only good space strategy game?I tried playing Stelaris and Endless Space 2, but they both just felt more like managing excel spreadsheets
https://store.steampowered.com/app/424250/Balrum/Is this discounted Elin?
I put a hundred hours into Borderlands 1 after buying it a few weeks ago. Then I bought BL2 on sale a few days and I just reached the part after Sanctuary is attacked and Lilith teleports it to sky.I gotta say, so far I think I prefer the first game. The looting felt better, the environments didn't make you dizzy at how flashy they were, I don't like playing discount Lilith, and a bunch of other things.
How good are the Xcom games? I've been wanting to try them for a while now.
>>722230626DS Remaster is a travesty. Pirate the original and install DSfix. Just keep in mind your jump range is nerfed above 30 fps, there is a hotkey in dsfix to toggle frame limit. It only matters for a couple of obscure jumps, but it does block a very cool optional area. Look up how to return to the asylum if lost, that's where you'll need the jumpGrimrock games are excellent. The leveling in 1 is so-so, know that you'll only get enough levels to max out one proficiency and have a few points leftover, or get a couple of skills reasonably strong. You won't softlock yourself or anything, but it'd suck to waste points thinking you have more margin to spare.
Props to the anon yesterday asking about Ubermosh. It's nice. It seems like they're all the same game just iterated on, the first one has some issues which seems like they get fixed in later titles. It's a rare feeling of a game that feels old-school and in a good way. Main menu. Violence. Nothing else.>>722232807I finished DS (PTDE) with DSFix and I'm not going back to it. I recommend Remastered despite the lighting and reflections in some areas being retarded. The textures for the most part are properly done for HD unlike PTDE. DSFix often crashes on alt-tab too. As much as I like DS1 and it's by far the best Souls, I'd really rather not go through the headache of DSFix again. Especially if you have neither and will just buy one, get remastered.

>>722232509>like repeatedly killing yourself to restart in New Game+ mode to inherit all your stats sounds whenever you get brickwalled sounds....unintuitive.Haven't played Wandering Sword, but Hero's Adventure isn't like that. Just play normal mode on your first run.

>literally nobody is buying JRPGs/v/ always has the worst taste

>>722233330JRPGs are the lowest IQ genre in gaming.

>>722233062>>722233131>>722233297I see, thank you. I'll give them a shot, I'll see how much I can seethe by being unlucky
>>722233226I try JRPG quite a bit and I'm rather fatigued by them and I don't like most of them. Old Ys (1 and 2) were nice. The newer ones I really tried, but couldn't get into. DQXI was solid, but I doubt I'll replay it. One of the 'of mana' games (forget if it was visions or trails) looks okay and is very casual, but the AI is far, far too dumb for my liking (party member that is, they just eat telegraphed AoEs nonstop). I'd like a party-based J/RPG, specifically one with actual characters, but it's a chore to find. I've heard great things about Stranger of Paradise but it looks so-so, but it's on my wishlist anyway just incase one day. There are other JRPG I've played this year alone but I'm forgetting, especially since many are not on PC. Easy to get names mixed up. Open to suggestions though (particularly party-based of actual characters).
>>722233424Quite literally the opposite. It's made by the people with the highest average IQ for people with the highest average IQ. It requires a firm understanding of various battle mechanics and the ability to think multiple turns ahead. Contrast this with western slop where you simply react to everything like a nigger does.
>tales of Beseria used to be dirty cheap>now that i started playing through the franchise it doesnt go on sale anymore
recommendations for fan service heavy games with good gameplay that are not straight up porn games?
>>722233424Tunnels & Trolls got more popular earlier than D&D in Japan that being said, there were also some other games that became more ingrained into the Tabletalk genre of gaming. Sword World which was basically their take on D&D Fantasy with 2d6 system. You probably watched Record of Lodoss War? Well that was a campaign played with Sword World if I recall right.
>>722233608Third-party sellers, anon.
>>722233226I love JRPGs but i usually only buy one per sale because it takes me like a month to finish it.
>>722233291Succubus affection, you pretty match fuck the entire biome of monstergirls into civility.Evenicle. The gameplay is passable at best, but the entire thrust of the plot is a quest to get a higher grade polygamy loicense, and saving the world, if that's what it takes. It's mostly lovey dovey stuff, but be aware there are a handful of cruel tasteless rape scenes with the villains, including the first H-scene in the game.
Any fun turn based tactics game?Preferably with a good story.I already played both Xcoms and Triangle strategy. Was interested in Age of Wonders 4 for its combat but apparently it doesnt have a campaign, its just a sandbox skirmish mode
Got Sekiro, all the womb raiders, hundred line and technically yakuza 3 kiwami
>>722233584>It requires a firm understanding of various battle mechanics and the ability to think multiple turns ahead. You're describing tactics games like Fire Emblem, Triangle Strategy, Advance Wars, etc. which are the only acceptable JRPGs. The typical JRPG is pure slop where you mash A through every fight and use a healing spell once or twice against a boss. Modern JRPGs literally advertise auto-battle as a feature.
>>722233621HaydeeNear a Tomato
Nothing to do until goty drops in next month.

>>722233898The ones you are referring to are only like that because they're trying to appeal to the retarded western audience. The more pure JRPGs run laps around most other games.

>>722233226Recommend me a turn based JRPG that isn't generic shonen, isn't final fantasy, isn't 20+ dollars because the devs are greedy

>Expedition 33It's probably retarded and autistic, I concede. But the G/UI of that is turning me off from trying it. It looks like an aborted mix of Guild Wars and Persona.
Why do people like clair obscure so muchI keep watching reviews and gameplay and it looks so drab and samey. I can't tell difference even if you were 1 hour in or 8 hours in
>>722233787Wasteland games are fairly simple, but with a much heavier story focus than a straight up tactics game.Steamworld Heist games are good fun with all the crazy ricochets you can line up.Troubleshooter, if you can stomache lots of oriental yapping. I don't know if it's good exactly, but I found it endearing and at time baffling in an entertaining way. Character customization is very satisfying.
Am I going to like The Sekimeiya: Spun Glass if I like VNs with puzzle elements? I liked 999 and loved Virtue's Last Reward for the puzzle solving and figuring out the plot which sounds like the closest thing to this. I also enjoyed Raging Loop outside the ending which is a pure VN.
>>722233979No, unless they have action combat I don't bother with JRPGs. WotS3 is on sale for $4.https://store.steampowered.com/app/427510/Way_of_the_Samurai_3/

>>722234267And why do people keep calling it a JRPG? Devs are French.
>>722234308Looks amusing.
>>722234369Try g2a or fanatical. I've used both of these a few times each over the past few years (these days only fanatical, has been a while since I last used g2a).

>>722234464Because it copies Persona/Metaphor/Lost Odyssey (for the QTE battle system), that's about it. They just copied everything else from those three and called it done after they filed out the ID numbers. Reminder it was a french nepo-baby with ties to Net-Ease funding and the game does use Unreal Engine assets, its just snoygames faggots who don't have games to play praising it.
>>722234512
>>722234267You'd get it if you played it.
>>722234464It's got 3 froggers in a line.
I really don't understand the hate e33 gets on here. It's a good game.
>>722234298There aren't really any puzzles. The initial playthrough is a very long linear story, then it gives you a couple branching paths/endings, then (not really a spoiler but) it has a long as fuck questionnaire that quizzes you on every little detail of the plot, every instance of time travel, and the functions of the Sekimeiya to test your observation, note taking and attention to detail, seeing how well you grasped every little thing. If you go in with the right expectations and understanding of what it wants from you, you might enjoy it.
>>722230261If you enter the first one looking for the story, characters and world then you'll have a good time. Just remind yourself you're not there for the combat.
>>722234637It's popular, so it's bad
>>722234637It's just contrarian faggots being contrarians for the sake of it.

>>722249570The best way to play helldivers is to find loadouts for each of the three factions and then switch to a different faction after doing a campaign or two to vary it up, it keeps things fresh even of the major order system in the game discourages itIt's still a pain in the cock to get more weapons since you have to either pay up or cheese the SC grind for the warbonds but you'll have medals at least
>>722248865Oh look it's the fake mrgrgr game
>>722245061What are you talking about?
>>722226870Anon im looking for a couple of things and it be super cool if you could help me- a good isometric-ish CRPG for begginersI dont want anything fantasy, or anything super old which is what makes it hard to find one. I already have Underail in my cart, but i also wanted something with better graphics. If there was something like a blade runner type CRPG that be cool but not Shadowrun because its like psudo fantasy. Not KOTOR and stuff like that since those arent isometric. I wish BG3 wasn't fantasy but it is what it is.- a real time tactics game with a good storyStuff like Desperados but with a great story to go along with it. I hard Shadow Tactics had good gameplay but story was meh- Good VNs without a lot of SOLNot an specific genre, but i just dont like the ones that are 80 hours long but 50 of those are SOL stuff. Mystery, horror, romance, anything really, as long as they are also uncensored or have uncensored patches. Already have Chaos; Head in my cart.- A recommendation for one of the 40k games with good story. Preferably tactics style, can be rts real time, turn based, etc starring those space marine dudes. Im surprised there arent more games starring those space marine dudes.Anyway thanks in advance.
>>722228393Ok i gotta ask, why not Furry Shades of Gay 2?
Dishonored worth $5?
>>722249570>>722250107I think helldivers is absolutely peak friendslop but without friends it's just incredibly boring. Unlike darktide or DRG matches aren't long enough, slow enough, or tactical enough to bond with randoms.
I’m looking to play a good JRPG, mostly one with a solid story and fun mechanics. I can only buy one from my list though, which one do you guys recommend? And if it’s not on there, what other similar game should I check out?
>>722250228What's 'mrgrgr', anon?
>>722250336>a good isometric-ish CRPG for begginersWhy not rogue trader? Owlcat make good rpgs. >a real time tactics game with a good storyIs warcraft 3 not an option?
>>722230626Grimrock 1 and 2 were surprising for me because of how different they were. With that said Grimrock 2 is one of my favorite games ever.
>>722250336Story shouldn't be your priority for anything 40k really, the setting exists solely as a means to make Your Dudes fight Their Dudes. That said you'd probably get some mileage out of the Dawn of War games
Seems like all of you will be happy to get a digital ID.
>>722250336Hey, anon, normally I wouldnt help faggots who come in here and asks for this much shit without at least trying to help others in the thread, but I am feeling generous.> Rogue TraderIt fits your two first points and the fourth. I am playing it now, never been much of a CRPG fan, but I enjoy this game alot.>ParanormasightYour third one
>>722250649You refused to elaborate earlier, now you post more shit
I have my doubts about Bloodshed but I want a dumb boomer shooter to fuck around with (and is cheap)>>722250336>- A recommendation for one of the 40k games with good story. Preferably tactics style, can be rts real time, turn based, etc starring those space marine dudes. Im surprised there arent more games starring those space marine dudes.Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters, for sure.Very competent (if very difficult) tactics game with Space-Marines-but-not-quite as protagonists; it's very unique in the sense that you feel extremely overpowered at all times but are also super duper frail and can easily lose the entire campaign if you fuck up. The Ordo Assassinorum DLC is fucking excellent while the Venerable Brother one is kinda good (but really fucks with the base game's difficulty)Mechanicus is also an option but it's more of a puzzle game in my opinion, and has no Spess MarinesRogue Trader also works but is less tactics and more cRPG
>>722250553>he didn't play the kinohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk_QyPykxZA
>>722250869>I want a dumb boomer shooter to fuck around withWizordum
>>722226870this sale has been somewhat dissapointing since nothing i wanted to get got discounted.is landmine princess any good?i like its aesthetics but is it any good? or am i just throwing my money away?
>Freespace 2>Everspace 2>House of the Dying Sun>Elite Dangerous>No Man's SkyI want to blow shit up in space. Which of these should I get?
>>722250484I played with some redneck Xbox players, which was more fun than the game.
>>722251075That's real fukken neat-o actually>15 bucksIt can wait
>>722248173Not For Broadcast
>>722234364I don't have skepticism, I just have JRPG fatigue.
>>722251078Looks like a weirder version of Streamer Overdose
>>722244906A flashy, but ultimatively mediocre JRPG.
>>722251087Freespace 2 is peak and will never be surpassed because the genre is dead. There were some fun mods too. Also, dont buy it if that is what youre planning on doing..
>>722248401>picGames for this feel?
>>722251342That's a FRPG.
>>722241518i played it on the original xbox and enjoyed it, but that was something like 20 years ago
>>722228128A Highland Song
>>722249593because apparently the publisher isn't signing off an approval to put it on sale on Steam...it's on sale on GOG.>FUCKING STEAMIES PAY ME FULL PRICE
Should I buy this? Seems kind of meta relevant.
>>722251473Drakengard
>>722228643why dont you back it up with a source. only examples i could think of are>delisting.dev pulls game from sale on steam, my purchased copy is still playable>dev disables activation keyonly examples ive heard about this involved the keys one would buy on 3rd party sites originally being acquired via stolen credit cards prompting dev to disable access.>>722230967only roguelike i can recommend is synthetichttps://store.steampowered.com/app/528230/SYNTHETIK_Legion_Rising/>>722232456ill recommend townscaper the game is about building classical european coastal towns but be wary game is very minimalistic and you can just place and remove buldings, all the detailing is proceduraly generated, but since the details have their own rules you can "abuse" them to get desired detailshttps://store.steampowered.com/app/1291340/Townscaper/
>>722251601But I want to increase my playtime on steam AND I want steam achievements too.
>>722251723because there's no source, it's either another ebin store shill or another butthurt /agdg/ troon mad that steam takes a commission for using their fucking services
>>722251637Not on Steam.
>>722249973woops I misread and thought that was 2024 winter sale. gog has it and the dlc on sale right now of you don't mind non-steamhttps://www.gog.com/en/game/victor_vran
>>722250493>solid story and fun mechanicsStar Ocean is the most fitting here then.Octopath next, but it's mostly your standard 4 niggas in a row combat (albeit with some nice additions).Live a Live is genuinely a unique experience that's absolutely worth playing though, if not now then at least eventually. My recommendation would be to get Star Ocean and Live a Live. Yes, you said you're only going to get one, but their combined price is only a tiny bit more expensive than SMTV (that has good gameplay but not story) or Suikoden (that has decent story but not gameplay).
>>722252032Thanks
Astlibra + DLC and Black Souls 1, or RimWorld?
>>722250449first one yes, don't get the second
>>722252058or just pirate square games and stop giving them money that they don't deserve
>>722252171As scummy as modern squeenix is, these games are good and the price on sale is more than fair.
>>722252139Isn't D2 better in every way, gameplay wise?
>>722227932>WitchfireI'm also interested, but no Early access games for me and you shouldn't buy Early access games either.
>>722230967Nethack, Angband, Adom, Infra Arcana... These are all free, you stupid mongoloid.
>>72225225223,99 for octopath traveller 1 is pretty steep.
>>722252252Which is why i recommend pirating and not just throwing them into the trash like FFVII demake
>>722252383He asked for a good one.
>>722252124Astlibra and BS1 for story driven experience. Rimworld for spreadsheet autism. Pick your poison.

>>722230967Brogue is prolly the most accessible of the traditional roguelikes.
Any recommendations for indie games like Shigatari or Karate Master 2 Knockdown Blow? I mostly play AAA slop, but I'd want to try something smaller, and from those so far I enjoyed those two.
>>722252339nope
>>722252515That doesn't look very accessible.
>>722252581It is once your mind is fried from playing too many roguelikes.
>>722230967DCSSIt's free, has a tileset and probably the most content of any contemporary (regularely updated) roguelikes.
>>722228128Dark Souls
>>722245061Do you mean the credit card stuff? I don't use credit cards to buy games because my country has a non-card based payment system available.
>>722247645I'm just baffled someone doesn't have portal yet. Are you 18 or something? Just started used steam?
>>722251956wait until the remake comes out

I'm mostly interested on PC exclusives, Shooters and Fightan being the exception. There's too much shit so I want random recommendations.
>>722250336>I hard Shadow Tactics had good gameplay but story was mehIf you're interested in the gameplay but just haven't played it for concerns about the story, you should get it anyway. There are one or two major research fails (mostly around seppuku) but the plot overall is inoffensive. I think people just don't like how mundane it is compared to the kickass gameplay.

Shadow Tactics came out before Desperados. both were grounded storiesother devs started copying their homework with implementing stealth in to their Unity games, i can't really think of any before mimimi's games that were doing stealthan like that
>>722255403>i can't really think of any before mimimi's games that were doing stealthan like thatWhy do you think Mimimi's game is called Desperados 3..?
Can I get fucked if I use a DLC unloced on a game I purchased on Steam, and get achievements from DLCs I don't own?
