ONE FINAL HEADS UP BEFORE YOU START PLAYINGAbilities are still in the game as personality skills and are as strong as ever. I've already found a kuramon with ulforceveedramons ability and a punimom with the ability the buff the all the stats of anything it heals.The difference between those abilities and "10% of your basic attack damage is magic damage" is astronomical.Now, there are ways to get abilities.>1. Digimon are just born with them upon being converted.>2. You can reroll a digimons ability by talking to them and changing their personality(5-10 minute cooldown)I HIGHLY recommend you just covert baby digimon over and over again until you get some with good abilities at the start of the game as opposed to the second option. This will save you a lot of grief against some of the later hard mode bosses and the post game bosses.Another pro tip. When you change a digimons personality you can stop it from changing its ability by just pressing B so you can freely move a digimon to your desired stat growth personality without worrying about losing its good ability.Also if you end up getting a digimon with a unfitting ability (like agumon with heal buff) I recommend just going the long way around to get to something like ophanimon or marineangemon instead of rerolling punimons, it really isn't hard to turn any digimon into any other digimon

Managed to eke out my replay of Hacker's Memory at the last minute....Probably shouldn't have bothered. New Game+ is kind of a slog since cutscenes are unskippable and with no progression, there's nothing to keep the game's insistence on wasting your time mildly interesting. I was just turning off encounters, blasting bosses with the same piercing skills over and over, and groaning whenever the game said, "Oh no, the plot's starting to pick up steam! Better check the BBS for new cases!" At least I managed to finally play around with the Frontier mons, since I never managed to find the Beast Spirits on my first playthrough.

Looking at the leaks, there seem to be a weirdly low number of digimon in this. I know they say it has more than ever but there are barely any megas. It's just 300 rookies and champions that all share the same ultimates and megas. You'll be like "hmm I wonder what floramon digivolves into" and it's more or less the same things palmon digivolves into. It's very strange. Like a combination of Dusk's more constrained digivolution trees with CS's completely open one.And no data element either, everything's vaccine and virus. If you want data element on your team you'll have one of the same 8 digimon as everyone else.
