I played fe4 and it was fun, but it really was the in between of fe1-3 with units having dialogue and thracia/fe6 where units have more personality and dialogue/events tied to them. the gen 2 kids all get like 1 conversation that they can use to express their personality and thats about it. One of seliphs bests character building scenes is a secret convo with a replacement unit for godsakes, they tried and I commend that but there really isn't much to dig into with gen 2 especially. I married Arthur to fee because they joined at the same time and some semblance of a pre-established relationship (even if that was just taxi and passenger). on of the reasons julia/seliph is like the biggest seliph ship is probably because julia and seliph actually have screen time together and interact for a bit, and don't just stand next to each other for 50 turns and then are suddenly married like other gen 2 units.

Ok but seriously, what's wrong with Fire Emblem set in the modern day? They're very clearly going in all sorts of new directions with the series given its recent entries.
