The only individual who can save us from Goyreal Midgine 5's mediocrity.
>>
He should at least release some kind of demo for anyone to take him seriously

by beating a dead horse and spending months after months making the same UE is bad videos
what a hero!

he doesn't even exist
it's all ai

He's based for calling out DFaggots. Sometimes, zoomers are alright.

Did he make a video on Borderlands 4 and Unreal new SMAA yet?

I watched one of his videos and couldn't understand almost anything he was talking about, does the average gamer know all this nowadays and I'm just out of date? Because he has a huge following for someone who makes videos about things the average Joe can't understand.
>>
all I know is he makes reddit seethe and it's very perplexing as to why

it's like they decided he was a chud in order to easily dispel all engine criticism
>>
>>722322147
the unrealengine subreddit is in massive denial about the state of their engine, it's some combination of sunk cost fallacy and stockholm syndrome
>>
>>722319774
never wrote a line of code in his life LMAO
>>
>>722322452
Well what's oddest to me is I wouldn't be a fan or a hater of an engine, I would just accept the legitimate feedback and discard the useless feedback. You don't need any drama, you don't need to talk about people, only ideas.
>>
>>722321925
No. His entire fanbase is literally the perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect, except for the part about "high-skilled individuals" because TI also doesn't know basic shit about graphics programming
>>
>>722319774
The only reason I have not written off Threat Interactive as the typical forgettable annoying YouTuber of the month is because his stated intent to fix Unreal Engine 5's issues. So is it even possible for him to do it? I don't specifically care about the drama surrounding him. That's all irrelevant to me and it seems like the work of detractors since he has made the loudest impact with his videos, something developers and publishers alike are probably now aware of. The FuckTAA subreddit weren't achieving anything but irrelevancy. And that's who went after him. But I do want to see something come out of his videos, something equivalent to the idea of what he outlined when Bend Studio fixed Unreal Engines issues with Days Gone.
>>
>>722322798
people were getting annoyed with unreal engine's poor performance and graphical issues long before this channel showed up. He has a legit position, despite the angsty presentation
>>
The day he finds out unreal engine 4.27 solves all issues of unreal engine 5.X will be a glorious. I can only imagine the shitstorm.
>>
>>722323205
I'm not saying his position is wrong, I'm saying the actual technical stuff he states about the graphics programming side of things is wrong (about 80% of it, 20% of it is actually correct).
My main issue with TI is that he will constantly remove any and all negative comments on his community posts or comments, or copyright strike anything that calls him out. I couldn't care less about which position he took but being the kind of person to just plug yours ears and shake your head when someone contests you is completely bitchmade
>>
>>722323037
he's just another grifter dumbass
he doesn't have actually any clue into the challenge of making a video game, let alone a big one
>>

There will be no demo he's grifting and anyone who falls for it 100% deserves it, anyone parroting his shit is not a human being.

so the piratesoftware of graphics?
>>
>>722323541
what are the chances he is just chatgpting shit up to look smart the whole time
>>
>>722324083
>he doesn't have actually any clue into the challenge of making a video game
That doesn't change anything regarding what he's speaking about with UE5's optimisation issues. He doesn't need to have released a game to have the engine changed in any specific manner. Whether he's capable of that is yet to be seen, but I do take issue with the sentiment of your statement.

At least the ferret fucker worked at Blizzard. This cuck is practically begging to work for Timmy or EA.
>>
>>722324386
what do you mean ? it changes everything, just saying "ue5 bad" and throwing some technobabble in a vacuum is meaningless, everyone can see there are problems but if you're clueless on how video games are made then what value does it offer ?
Keep in mind this is me being generous and giving him the benefit of the doubt he's just another clueless moron, the less generous alternative is that he is in fact fully aware of the challenges and does his shtick anyway because farming outrage is easy
>>
>>722319774
Video games equivalent of eceleb drama slop. He can complain but he doesn't show anything intelligent to improve the industry.
>>
>>722322452
>hey guys I actively browse reddit and keep in touch with some subreddits
>no, it's the haters that are the redditors
>>
>>722324667
lots of fake knowledge "creators" popping up the last few years because they use ai to produce content.
>>
>>722324879
>if you're clueless on how video games are made then what value does it offer ?
To my understanding of it is that he wanted to create something similar to a seperate or/ forked branch of the engine? so what does this aspect have to do with the requirement of a finished project that was shipped to the retail market? i could revisit his public statements in case I'm misremembering what he said. But that was what I recalled.
>>
>>722319774
If you talked to an actual programmer you'd know the problem is with the devs, not UE5.
>>
>>722324157

The problem is the devs. However, Epic makes it too easy for bad devs to use a one-click solution to increase their badly optimized game's framerate by smearing the screen full of vaseline. The way to make sure that even lazy devs are forced to work hard is to make it as hard to implement TAA than it is to make their game actually run properly. Hell, they could just paywall the damn thing. Want to take a shortcut at the expense of your customers? Pay.
>>
>>722324879
TI gets traction regardless of validity because the dude says ue5 bad. If games didn't run and look like shit, with shills running interference for epic he'd be a nobody.
>>
>>722322737
Its literally just transient Indians who bounce from studio to studio or work in some third world outsourcing sweatshop studio if they are the lowest tier of Indian gamedev, all of them would be out of a job if the industry moved off Unreal.
>>
It would be nice if he really improves UE5 source code for all UE5 games to benefit. If he can really do it and is not just talk. Talk is cheap, show me the code.

Obviously he cant change proprietary code of UE5 games, so his code could only change the open source engine itself. Maybe change some defaults for the better? Otherwise hes just a grifter and if he was genuine he would explain stuff more clearly.
>>
>>722323205
>people were getting annoyed with unreal engine's poor performance and graphical issues long before this channel showed up.
yeah that's the issue
he showed up to tell people exactly what they wanted to hear while asking for money for an impossible goal, which is exactly what a grifter does
>>
>>722326212
Nothing is going to change because Epic's actual money making market for UE5 is movies/tv shows.
>>
>>722325340
anon, you keep missing the point, this is a missing the forest for the trees type situation, there is "nothing" to fix in the engine, it's not even the problem in the first place, the engine is just a boogeyman that is easy to frame as being the culprit for the unwashed masses
>>
>>722325975
>software rt
>no option for hardware rt
The games problems run deep.
>>
>>722319774
>save us from Goyreal Midgine 5
How? He just complains about it like most of us do.
>>
>>722326051
>with shills running interference for epic he'd be a nobody.
But the actual said interference is the part in which Unreal Engine's optimisation issues are always entirely blamed as developer dependant (when that is only half of the story) and yet no one can point to one shining example of a well optimised game. It is true that is developer dependent, but at the same time it's more true that Epic Games are lying their asses off that lumen & nanite aren't completely destroying performance with barely justifiable reasons. For a while people tried using Clair Obscur Expedition 33 until TI even tore that ugly looking piece of shit apart.
>>
>>722325975
Jesus Christ. You're only supposed to flicker at a cycle of 2 frames without TAA, and that's assuming a locked 60 FPS.
It's unfortunate, because people have no idea how good no-AA can look when done right.
>>
>>722327075
>Epic Games are lying their asses off
The shills are also coming from inside the house, true. I was trying to say that if Epic and wasn't such a garbage fire there would be no discontent for people to latch on to. My bad for not making a clear point.
>>
>>722325657
He actually recommended using UE5's TAA with tweaked parameters though.
>>
He can save us but only for a small payment of 99.99. Please help him bros.

Fortnite
>>
>>722327469
>I was trying to say that if Epic and wasn't such a garbage fire there would be no discontent for people to latch on to.
every modern game looks and runs like shit, if UE hadn't been chosen as the boogeyman it would be someone else like jeets or another engine or feature
>>
>>722327632
Playdoh graphics don't count. That should always run well. But I'm fairly sure Fortnite has traversal stutter anyway.
>>
>>722327901
retard, who cares about the art style, it use full lumen + nanite on the high end, aka the thing that brings bl4 to its knees
It also doesn't, in fact, have traversal stutter, double retard
>>
>>722328410
>doesn't have traversal stutter
I'm glad to have gone on record about Fortnite to have exposed a liar. You'll find footage of an RTX 4090 experiencing it in this post.

>>722328640
these "erm, fortnite actually runs like shit, here's video of it running at 12fps on a 5090 ;)" posts are always so perplexing to me
this shit runs on a phone, shit it even runs on the switch
my $600 pc that I bought 10 years ago runs it beautifully
do you niggers just have a personal vendetta?
