What few groups there are don't play music I like and are impossible to get a spot in.Regarding performance, I'm on a 3080 and performance is fine. The team continues to do improvements on what they can while giving you the tools to improve your experience. The biggest factor that helps my performance is turning off the ingame anti-aliasing. Other than that I don't show "very poor" avatars. You can further improve your performance by reducing your VR rendering resolution and using the limiter for how many avatars are rendered based on distance or amount. There's also automatic avatar imposters and fallback avatars. Even in club worlds with 80 people I get a tolerable FPS.The issue of people using horribly unoptimized avatars is still pervasive, I don't understand why they do that when people like me who want frames will never see them.

At least get a quest 3 or any headset with pancake lens, get the best hardware you can with over 12gb vram and fastest cpu on the market. Consider purchasing full body tracking as well. Even though the upfront costs are really expensive you'll save more money that way, because anything less is just going to be shit or outdated, and you're going to be buying it in the end anyway. You probaly want to have over 32gb of RAM as well to run the unity editor while vrchat is running to edit your avatar in real time. Might as well just have another dedicated pc for that and hope it doesn't trip your household breaker.
