Undertale is the best overall game, but Mother 3 had the most emotionally poignant moments that made me cry like a little bitch. Maybe it resonated with me so much because my mom passed away, idk.

The only boss I died three times on was the final iteration of Fassad, and that was mostly because it surprises you and I didn't have any healing items left. Outside of that, all the game's bosses are either 1st try or sometimes 2nd try. But it does a good job of making you feel like you barely made it through many of its boss fights, which I think is admirable.
